- rocknrollmomma06my husband just called this number...it's monumental life insurance company and i evidently signed up for accidental death insurance thru suntrust bank in feb 07. they've been charging us $2.24 a month ever since. they said they'd send a copy of the form i mailed in, as well as a description of term benefits. i only have vague recollection of this happening, my son was rather young back then and i was busy/sleep-deprived! it seems legit, i just wish i had remembered signing up for this so i hadn't felt like i was getting money taken out every month for no good cause. i've never actually gotten a call from this company, this number just shows up along with "ins payment" on my bank statement once a month. this month it switched to "monumental life" instead of ins payment...not sure why.

MY MOTHER PURCHASE HEALTH INSURANCE TO COMERICA BANK THROUGH MONUMENTAL LIFE.
AND SAID THAT ME AND MY WIFE WERE BENEFICIARIES OF THIS POLICY. SO MY MOTHER PASSED AWAY AND 2005. HAD A TASK OF GOING THROUGH HER PAPERS AND DID NOT FIND HER POLICY. BUT FOUND SOME LITERATURE FROM. MONUMENTAL LIFE AND GAVE THEM A CALL. NEVER HEARD OF THAT PERSON. OUR POLICY ADDRESS, SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, BIRTH DATE ETC. ETC.
JUST GOING THROUGH OLD PAPERS AND DISCARDING THEM IN 2012 ME MY WIFE RAN ACROSS MY MOTHER'S LAST BANK STATEMENT AND WE NOTICE PAYMENT TO MONUMENTAL INSURANCE COMPANY. SO WE FINALLY CALLED INSURANCE COMPANY BACK TRANSFER ABOUT 15 TIMES SPENT HOURS ON THE PHONE TELLING US WE DID NOT HAVE A POLICY FINALLY FOUND SOMEBODY IF YOU RETRIEVE THE POLICY AND TOLD US THAT MY MOTHER PASSED AWAY IN 2005 AND I ASKED HOW THEY READ. SEE DEAD INFORMATION IN A TOLD ME DAVE TABOR AND I SAID THAT IS ME. SINCE 2002, THEY COULD NOT FIND HER RECORD BUT THEY COULD PUT A NOTATION ON HER FILE REGARDING HER DEATH. THIS IS HOW THESE PEOPLE DO BUSINESS. I WOULD NOT SPEND MY MONEY ON THEM.
FAR AS I AM CONCERNED ARE FRAUDULENT COMPANY. IN OUR GOVERNMENT THAT REGULATES THESE INSURANCE COMPANY IS NOT DOING THE JOB. THAT IS OBVIOUS IF YOU BOUGHT TAINTED DOG FOOD. I PAY MEDICAL INSURANCE AND LIFE RECEIVED A DIAGNOSTICS OF CANCER. INSURANCE COMPANY DID NOT PAY A TIME JUST ABOUT LOST EVERYTHING. THANK YOU UNCLE SAM FOR YOUR HARD WORK AND I AM SURE GLAD TO SEND YOU MY TAX PAYMENT - JMSCalled the customer service # 1-866-290-0505 & got help right away. Policy was for Monumental Life, through Bank of the West. Keep trying, if you are getting billed through your bank.You can also stop the billing through the same #.

I wanted a copy of the policy and when I went to call today , May 27,2016, I found that it was a fax number . Something needs to be done. Called Suntrust and no one has another number for the company.

If they are selling insurance they have to be registered in your state, so did you try calling the insurance dept.? How about the attorney general? Did you try contacting them? There is a whole lot you can do. Don't depend on "someone" else to do it for you. They aren't the ones with the beef. you are.
