Urgent call about a recorded message using my debit card????? I was supposed to press 1 or call them???

Asked to caled them back immediately.

Time sensitive matter and must call them back. Didn't leave much info. My name was a recording and not pronounced right. Just strange all the way around.

received call and it was just an announcement that it was imperative that I contact them to resolve and they did not state who they were in the announcement or what company they were contacting on behalf of.   thought by law they had to do that(?)  not sure I'm not expert but kind of strange if it is a collection matter , then I would think they would want to provide that information in their message.  

received an "urgent" message from them to call to settle this matter.  What matter?  No name, no company--just said to press 1.  I googled the number and it says Streamline Recovery.  I googled them and it seems they have some questionable practices.  Probably a scam.

Fraudulent. Cannot email the address on the website. Person just answers the phone Tom speaking . If it's a professional company who answers the phone line that. Report them to Pa State Attorney.

Got a call same message as above I call the number back and the man who answers only gave his first name. I asked for the name of the company he mumbled somthing and said he was transfering me. I asked again and the man got really rude and said I told you I am transfering you. It rings and a guy named Tom answers and said "I just spoke to you" I replied no you didn't and he read off a phone number and I said thats not my number and he replied then why the hell is it on my caller ID. I replied I don't know but my number won't come up since its a federal number that is blocked. He hung up right away I am not sure what they are looking for but I know they have nothing to do with my bank and wouldn't trust or give any company like that a chance to have my information.

912-580-3042 called.  Said problem with debit or credit card.  To call 866-295-0569.  Checked all of our accounts.  No strange activity.  So called 866 number.  "Loretta" answered.  I asked for name of company.  She hung up.

They called my cell phone and my work phone with the same message as the one above. I checked my accounts and saw no strange activity. This company called me from 319-596-1453 and left a voicemail stating to call back 866-295-0569. Seems like a scam.

Received the same type message except the number showed 901-316-2854 and the recording said their had been suspicious activity on my debit card and/or checking account. I called back and someone named Jeff answered.  
The message on my work phone left 866-295-0569 to call back.   Got in touch with my bank and they advised it is a scam collection attempt and to report it to the local police or the FTC.  I have filed a complaint with the FTC and have turned all information over to my attorney.

This is illegal to attempt to collect anything under misrepresentation which is what is happening.

Keep receiving calls from different numbers.  Keep blocking them and they try again with different numbers.  So-called Payday Loans.  Some call themselves Cash Advance Payday (I didn't request!!!) and Important...Unusual actvity on your bank account.  Please call 866-295-0569.  ALL scam artists with same accent...Indian (India) OR NO ONE answers!  STAY Away.

Also was flooded which a bunch of crapola emails.  I forwarded them to the FBI (look under the Scams & Safety Tab...http://www.fbi.gov/) because the emails were a federal offense...Claimed to be from the State's Attorney's Office!  Emails included "Arrest Warrants" and other ridiculous nonsense.  Some of the art work on these "official" documents...you can tell were hand drawn!  Looked like something kids come up with!

They called 6 times in 3 hours. I called back and a woman answered saying "Payday loans" and no specific company name. I told her to stop calling and she asked why I didn't want a loan and I told her again to just stop calling and she said "ok" and hung up.

Anthony is a low life owner of multiple collection agencies.  They all break the law.  If you receive a call from anybody I suggest you  try and record the conversation and sue him.  His low life attorney will settle with you and you will be rewarded with a lot of money.  Blow up his phone if you want 716-201-8420.  Hope the attorney general comes down on him

Calling numbers back doesn't help matters, in fact can make them worse. Its bad because the numbers are spoofed as a ROT. You could be calling some innocent persons number or a innocent business that had nothing to do with the calls. While we understand that is is a frustrating thing, its just a bad idea.

Consider buying a call blocking device or phone. Many are around $50.00 and can block up to 1500 numbers. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
