They've left the same vague recorded message on my work voice mail at least 5 times in the past 2 weeks, always naming some person whose name is impossible to make out but doesn't sound at all like my name.  I've never had any debt, so it's at best a wrong number and more likely a scam.  Wish I could make them stop calling.

These scumbags have been trying to collect on a 19yr old debt that my husband doesn't owe.  I've tried to say I want written proof that this debt is his with any signatory card evidence that show he sign on for this account.  That's when they start getting nasty.  They said they dont have to provide anything because my husband owes them and that's that.  WELL>>>>thats not that...I told the female that was on the phone she was nasty and barking up the wrong tree.  She said what do you mean by that.  I told her the statute of limitations was up a long time ago and she was chasing ghosts.  So provide us with the info we requested or stop calling. Well they've called at all hours but it's nice to be informed.  Oh by the way DO NOT give them any money or you reactivate the debt.

Just to let anyone know what remedy I had with these scum bags...I faxed their company after of course I had sent a letter telling them no more communication other than via mail.  I let them know in the fax that I was recording not only the dates of all of their calls but the calls themselves.  That they were in direct violation of the FTCPA and that I was going to report them to the BBB and the the FTC (Which I did!) Within two weeks of my faxing them they sent me a letter saying that they were no longer persuing the matter.  I hope this helps someone.

This company has consistently called my job, my home.  Once my husband stated that we were recording the conversation for qaulity customer service and she told him that we could not do that and refused to continue the conversation.  Now when they call and he answers they hang up.  I had one man call my job and ask me to verify my social security number and when I refused he stated that I had just admitted to the debt.  I have sent letters, ask them not to call, and now due to the economy I am unemployed and they still continue to call at least 4-8 times a day, house and now cell phone.
