Someone by the name of Micheal King said he was calling from a legal department, and  said he received docs stating legal judgement against me and l will  face garnishment against my wages on my job

I just received the same phone call. They said it was from 2010 but I had no idea what they were talking about.

I just had the same thing and they blocked the number when they called and left a msg when I called back they wanted the last 4 of my social to tell me anything and since I didn't give it to them they wouldn't tell me any information. I told them to serve me whatever paperwork they have and it better be by a cop or a legal process server.  I am pretty sure they are not "attorneys" like they claim they are.

Tried to call it back, it's definitely a scam. And absolutely NO REPUTABLE COMPANY  would still be getting faxes. PLEASE MESS WITH THEM IF THEY CALL YOU. I hate that some people will fall for this: elderly & unaware. :(

Reputable companies still handle faxes, sending and receiving them.

I had a call at work (first red flag: nobody except london's school has my work number) said it was Hamilton county courts and they were going to be serving me with papers. They asked if I would be at home or at owrk to receive the papers between 2-3pm. I said "Yes, what is this case in referrance to?" She said "I can not provide that information, please call 1-866-303-2594, give them case number 68301p and they will provide you with the case information." So I did... and a man named Kevin asked me to verify the last four of my social. so I did. Then they said that "I had a case against me with Old National Bank from 2010." I said " let me call them and I will talk to them about this case." I called Old National and they said they have no record of this. I called Hamilton county court they said that the case number is not a valid number for their court system. the bank called the numer I was given and they asked for information on my account and the address to their office.. the address was 5443 Broadway Buffalo,NY 14212. when googling both the address and phone number neither come up as a legitamate business.

This is a common ploy by criminals masquerading as debt collectors who are attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this,  all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.  One of the tricks they use is to call your work place, friends, or relatives repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying.  They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number

If you feel you SSN has been compromised, in addition to putting a fraud alert at the 3 credit bureaus, you may want to notify the IRS.  Here is the link, fill out the proper form (probably 14039):

just got a call from them, and surprise I got the same response that everyone else did, I cant tell you anything unless you give me your last four digits of your social, I said yeah well I am looking at a web page on complaints about this number and this is a scam, the guy that called me was named Todd, called our local court house they said the information I was given was false, so beware

Thank you, but i am well aware of how do deal with this scum.  If they are indeed located in Western New York, and there is a great possibility of that since it is the #1 haven for criminals pretending to be debt collectors in this country,  Then a complaint can be made here also.

They called my mother's phone number and said that they were from Legal Services. They gave my mother my name and a Reference number of: 511218-X

I got a call today saying they were legal services and they had document to be delivered and they had my last number of my ad card so I called back and they ask for me to give them my information I said no u tell me and told me there were gonna serve me paper is this scam cause I'm tricking out

I just received a call at my work from a Shawn Clark @ 866-303-2594 ext. 302 from Legal Services.  I called back since I was not at my desk and then another person by the name of Larry Evans answered.  He stated to me that was no one in that office named Shawn Clark.  Larry said that Shawn must work in the liasion office at Legal Services. He said that I had a payday loan from Allied Cash in 2009 that was sent to their office. I asked when it supposly was written and how much is owed.  He told me that I owe $811.31 cents.  I contacted Allied Cash and nothing, along with any other company associated with them and nothing.  The crazy thing is they repeted my entire SSN# to me over the phone. I was instructed to contact the credit breaus and let the know that my SSN# had been compromised and the banks.
Oh yea, and the reference number they gave me was 511218-X.  Their fax machine in not working and Larry claims that a technician was fixing on it since it has been out for about a week.  They are waiting on me to call back with infomation.  I will fix that best believe.

Lisa, I just received a call that I didn't answer that left that exact same reference number on my voicemail 511218X, saying that were with legal services, I am so glad that you put your experience up here with that ref #.

wow major scam! I just got a voicemail from these idiots with the same file number that I see listed on here several times. 511218-x.

Got the same message, but this time they left my name, last four of my social, and my date of birth in the voice mail. Clear violation of the law. In her message she claimed someone tried to serve me at the address they had for me but the house "was unoccupied."  That means no one lives there. Yet, they are going to be nice and try again tomorrow. I am so sick of these people. They multiply like rabbits, and it's like whack-a-mole to get rid of them. Catch one and another pops up in its place. They are all scammers. Ignore them!!

I have received phone calls requesting I call the bank of treasury in New York to claim my free grant of 9200.00 after I pay a 200.00 self reset e fee they gave me a fake number for bank in New York and used a Google num Dr to do it my number is 925 250 2209

They just called me and gave me a case number of 511218-x. Funny how two different people can have the same case number. Lol
