This numbers was a scam. I called and spoke to Kevin Smith.  And he sent me a check for $4400. saying to deposit to my account and withdraw 2900 to pay the taxes services and he will send me a check of 150.00. That i won something. But it was a scam!! when i went to the Chase Bank they told me that the check was FRAUD!!

Was there a charge for the call? Did the phone company change a high rate per minute?

My mother received a check for $3,500 and was told this is to cover the taxes associated with a prize of $100,000. She was told to take the check to the bank and cash it and then call them. They would then have to come out to the house and verify her information and see a photo ID before the $100,000 would be sent by Fed X or other courier company. She was to call Nationwide Insurance and speak with 1 of 2 people. They assured her it was on the up and up. I had her call Bank One which is the bank the check was drawn on. She gave them the account number and they confirmed it was a fraud. We are not sure if this is an attempt at identity theft or what but be aware it is a fraud.
