Text message (which right there was a huge red flag), with veiled implication that they're with the government, and I need to file my business's annual report (which I already filed in February thru an actual government website). In reality, they're a scammer (https://efilebusiness.com) trying to trick people.

Got a text message from this number, claiming to be WA DOL. and saying a business I am a partner in, and do the books for, needed to file it's annual report.  They almost had me, until they said I owed $200.  In reality, the state fee is $60, and that was what stopped me cold.  After a conversation with my accountant, and searching the phone number, it WAS a scam.  Do not pay anything to this sender.   annual.efilebusinesscom/......... is DEFIITELY a scam!

Received a text from this number stating I needed to file my LLC's annual report. Their cost would be $200. I'd already filed my annual report and in tracing the origin of the text discovered it's a business that specialized in "helping" you file biz docs in any state for a fee. You can just file your own and most states have help available if you need it. Don't give them your money!

Text came on June 23 2022 saying my Annual Report was due June 30 and gave a link to file. I had already filed in December. SCAM

Same as the others... text message referring to business annual report. Link leads to a business which supposedly files reports for other businesses. Wouldn't trust it.

Received a text from this number with a link to a website (annual.efilebusiness.com) on our business phone stating it was time to file our annual report (link showed a $200 fee) but thankfully we've been around for a while so I knew it was a scam!

Similar to everyone else on this thread. Call and text saying I need to file an annual report and the scammer is purposely implying they’re acting on behalf of State/Government…. All bull$&it! I do not own said entity nor am I an affiliate in any way shape or form. BEWARE All

Claims you need to file your annual meeting minutes. Costs you $150. Haha.....scumbag scammers.

I haven't received any calls or text, but did get an email from washington@e-filebusiness.com with the subject Annual Meeting Minutes. Sounded fishy right off the bat so I copy/pasted the URL and it said: File your Annual Meeting Minutes. Filing Fee: $150. I've paid $60 per filing for the past four years and in no way could I believe the fee would have nearly tripled from last year. so I searched for e-filebusiness.com and found a wealth of information, businesses are getting email and texts. The Secretary of State has a page right on their website called Misleading Notices. The state site says:

    "None of these solicitations to file an annual report come from our office. An annual report is required to be filed each year by the end of the anniversary month [our anniversary month is over 4 months from now - red flag], and can be easily filed in our Corporations and Charities Filing System (CCFS) by selecting express annual report, or by logging in to your CCFS customer profile. The fee is only $60 for for-profit businesses.

    "The Office of the Secretary of State will send notices directly to registered businesses. An email notice will come 60 days prior to expiration; a paper notice sent via U.S. mail, is sent 45-60 days prior to expiration if electronic notification is not selected. This office does not currently send text messages."

It's a huge scam, and they look just legit enough that I'm sure some people are fooled. Once "file" and pay, they have all the information (name, account numbers, etc.) to defraud you.
