Merrick Bank for a late CC payment. I had one set for the end of this week, but apparently that doesn't show up in their system. Just a recorded message, not an actual person.

Merrick they have like 10 different numbers they use. System never leaves a message.

Why am I being called from this bank?

Well on my message they said they were the IRS and they were filing a lawsuit and I needed to call them. Maybe the IRS would like to know about this...hmmm (866-304-3179)

I know the feeling well. Even after you call them back and alert them to this fact they will still call.  Their excuse is that until the item is "cleared" the calls will still happen.  How about if their idiot phone bankers actually READ THE NOTES!!

They call INCESSANTLY! If it's Merrick Bank, I do owe a payment, so it's my fault and my responsibility. But, leave a message and I'll call you back. It's unnecessary to call 50 times in an hour and never tell me what you want...sheesh!

Merrick Bank wanting back payments that I cannot make. Accumulating intrest and more intrest and more intrest. Can only pay a certain amount monthly and have told them that over and over. They keep calling and calling. I am on a fixed income but they do not care. Harassment!!!!!

Also contact your local attorney general

If they are calling about a debt owed directly to them, they may not be subject to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  However there are still state statutes that might make such harassment unlawful.

You might consider getting a call blocker.

The IRS will never call you.  IRS sends a letter.

These idiots keep calling me and I have no idea why. I do not answer the phone. They just do not leave a message when the answering machine comes on.

I have nothing to do with Merrick Bank, yet they keep calling. Scumbags invading my privacy. BLOCKED.

We dont have anything to do with Merrick bank. So they can keep calling, we will keep ignoring them.
