Disregard my previous post.  I called the number on the back of the GO card and indeed the call on my answering machine was legit: someone was trying to make purchases with my GO card -- which only has a $3.00 balance.  According to the rep, they would not pay it since there was insufficient funds.  They try to contact you a number of times, then freeze the card if they can't resolve the issue.  Here's the takeaway : NFCU main number and account people can NOT see what is going on with the GO card.  They told me on my first call that everything was fine.  I'm sure they just look at our regular credit card and saw nothing unusual card.

Your story is leaking faster than water in a sieve.  This is not that credit union's phone number per their website.  Your story about how they can't see stuff on cards that they issue doesn't make any sense.  My guess is that you are one of the scammers and you concocted this fantasy to try to make people think that this really is that credit union calling and then get them to give you all their information so that you can steal money from them.
