Called four times, the first time they left a message saying they were from Credit Card Fraud Prevention services to validate recent transactions on our account.  I will never call that number back and give them our information…I call the bank directly to work with them regarding transactions on my account.   When I call the number it requests I enter in the transaction number they left on our voicemail.  When I entered the number, it says I'm sorry I cannot find that transaction.  Please enter in your card number.  I don't think so!

Has called me three times consecutively in a 24 hour period-- harassment and obvious fraud, attempting to get me to enter a credit card number. I refuse, of course, but still the messages keep coming.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

The number (866-304-9107) claimed to be from Navy Federal Fraud Prevention Services. I called my bank (Navy Federal) to confirm that was the correct number and it was. I spoke to a person in the fraud preventions services and they were calling regarding a large online transaction  made on my son's VISA Buxx card. It was legitimate. I appreciate the quick action Navy Federal takes when transactions seem unusual. Good job :)

I received a call from 866-304-9107 stating that they were from Navy Federal Fraud Prevention Services. I called the bank which transferred me to that department.  This number is for Navy Federal Fraud Prevention Services.

I received a call from 866-304-9107 a recording said it was Navy Federal Fraud Prevent gave me a case number to call them back about a large purchase put on my go prepaid card. I instead got the proper number for navy federal fraud and called them. This is a phishing phone call navy federal will never give you a case number and there was nothing wrong with anybody my accounts. Think twice before you call this number back you don't know who you are talking to or giving information too. I also had passcodes put on all my accounts.

Received a call from this number. I didnt answer but an automated voice left a message asking for my son, and saying that they were from Navy federal fraud department and wanting to verify recent transactions. My son has 62 cents in his account and has had that balance for 2 weeks now lol so that was a red flag. And also, if they are really with navy federal then they would know it is a minor account and I am linked as the Parent so why not call and ask to speak to me and not a 13 year old.

Got a call saying they were fraud prevention from my prepaid card about recent transactions. They asked me to press 1 to confirm my name. And if I wasn’t me, then to hang up. Then asked to pick one of four options for my zip. At that point I hung up and called the number on the back of my prepaid card. They asked for all my info, gave it to them, and they checked and saw there was a fraud alert and confirmed recent transactions. It’s a legit number. I still wouldn’t give my info though, better to be safe than sorry and call your bank directly.

I received the same "fraud prevention" call as the others.  I called the number on the back of the card and they told me that there was no note of any such call being made.  I don't know if the reports of it being a legitimate number are truthful or not but be safe and call the number on the card.

It is NOT Navy Federal Credit Union. The phone number is deceptively similar but not the same. You can look up the correct phone number, very easily, and protect yourself. Somebody sold your personal information, that is, who you bank with to a debt collector. They may even have obtained your former or current bank card number. It's easier to steal these days than get a real job.

Got this call on Christmas Eve in reference to my GO PrePaid card.  They left an electronic sounding voice mail telling me they were from the NFCU Fraud Prevention Services.  And, they "helpfully" provided a "Case Number" for me to refer to or just HAVE MY CARD in front of them when I replied. Instead, I called the number on the back of my card directly to speak with NFCU's REAL fraud prevention department, who verified that they had not contacted me about any transactions, and that my card remains in good standing.  At first, I blocked the number, but it is an actual NFCU number.  So, I unblocked it and just know to never respond to any unsolicited phone calls, texts, emails, letters, etc. without first contacting the business directly myself.

Today I spoke to: Jesse, Jamie & Sam navy fed go because of vm received about fraud. I returned call by making  3 different calls to get to bottom of a NFCU fraud call regarding my visa go card. A case number was left but oddly enough when I called back none of them wanted the case number. ??? I was Highly suspicious at this point. Jesse wanted me to verify my address. I told him” no” I asked for a manager because I changed my address 3 times with navy fed go already. I told him I would write a letter complaining about these services to main offices( corporate). He Jesse Jamie and Sam all 3 callers “got quiet” when I said I would report this type of phishing. It’s terrible that these banking conveniences lead down a “path of lies and deceit!”  Beware! beware !beware !of your banking surroundings online & in person!

866-304-9107 is actually one of NFCU's fraud prevention numbers.  However, scammers can clone the number.   I received a "fraud prevention service" call that gave the last four digits of my prepaid card, a lengthy case number, and a request to confirm recent activity.  I first confirmed that there was no unusual activity on any of my accounts, then I called NFCU main number to confirm that NFCU  had not reached out to me recently, and the call ended with NFCU filing a report on the attempted fraud.
