Continually receive calls, e-mailed their site advising to stop calling, and they are in violation as we are on the "do not call" list

Got called just after 2pm. Somebosy identified himself as "Patrick Wisecal" (sounded like) with "Local Wide Web". after I said we've never done business, and that they're in violation of the "no call registry", he wanted me to answer one question "Is this a business?" I said I wouldn't say the word, told him "good bye" and I hung up on him. I have been on the no call registry since 6/03 and the number they called is valid through 6/08. I went straight to https://www.donotcall.gov/ and filed a complaint.
I suggest, if you didn't know this, never say the word "Yes" when you get a call from a suspected telemarketeter and always file a complaint even if you can't get them to say who they are!

called this morning told them I wasn't interested and hung up. she claimed to be from "zip wide web"

Trying to get you to advertise on the web.

They called today and said they were from Local Wide Web.  The problem with the do no call registry is that it does not cover businesses, read the fine print.  Any way told them I would not verify any information and that I was not interested and hung up.

Said they were verifying information for Google and other search engines.  Told her we were not interested in being featured, we don't work with the public sector.

We get calls from this number often.  We have asked them to take our number off their list.  Our phone number use to be registered to a hair salon

I get calls from this number almost daily, and it's been going on for months.  I've told them to stop calling, don't answer most of the time, put them on my fax, and nothing does any good.  The person says he's from "The Pharmacy."

This number keeps calling and when I answer they hang up.  I think that is very rude.

I called back and they said their name is Business to Business.  I asked them to stop take me off any list they have.

I called the number, was put on hold, then transferred to "customer service". When I attempted to ask "customer service for WHO?", they hung up.

I called verizon wondering what this was. They said they'll issue a credit for the $54 to my account and add a block to any 3rd party billing.

After speaking with them, I called zlocalhost.com and then found out this was about the several calls from zipweb in November. I had no idea I was getting automatically enrolled in a service, and wouldn't receive any info from them at all.
Although they claimed the info packet was sent out twice. First to my old address. Then to my new address twice.

James at zlocalhost.com said that basically if Verizon said I would get a credit then I would. But they would not issue a refund.
He then emailed me an audio file of the conversation.

at 4:50 in the audio file the person says "there will be no charges whatsoever".

She did mention the $49.95 later in the conversation, however you can't barely understand
anything she is saying most of the time.

Besides the fact that I never received any info through email or mail whatsoever letting me know I'm automatically enrolled in services,

or to remind me or give me a chance to cancel or I would have.

This call was also started by asking to see if my info was up to date and no where in the conversation did I actually
say "yes" or agree to sign up for any anthing.

How can Zlocalhost.com sign people up for service without sending any info at all for these services?

It is my understanding that I was supposed to be given the chance to review these services before deciding to sign
up with anything. Yet, I was given no info for review. Therefore I had no idea this service was started.

This is quite the unethical marketing strategy.

When I referenced the slamming charges brought against them, she said arrogently "That's a matter of opinion, sir" as she was hanging up on me!

Zip Wide Web calling to ask us to check our info for a feature on Yahoo, Google ect. I told the woman that I had called already to take us off their list and that we are on the do not call list. She kept talking as though I hadn't spoken.

Called the number back this is the same company that called from 1-800-793-7141, same phone tree. They are scammers. Do not give them information. Operator at the number was nice told us we were taken off, just like last time.

This call was about change charges to my phone service

I called the same number, a human answered very quickly and agreed to take me off the cold-call list. She took the number and repeated it back to me.

forgot -- it sounds like [***] $50 / month "top of Google" speaking of Google, search for "link farm"

annoying pushy sales call promising to put me at the top of local search listings.

They asked if it was a business because businesses do not qualify for the do not call register.  If you register your phone number in a association with any business then your not eligible for the national DNC.  Read the site, it says "for private residents".  Business to business is regulated differently.  .
