They called my cell. They called my job. The voicemail stated that they were calling from County PDS regarding a process service and that I needed to change my work address to my home address so I can be served to avoid a failure to appear.  When I called, the man that answered the phone was defensive when I asked who this was since I didn't catch the name. He replied harshly, its a law firm. I asked for the name since I didn't hear you and he said Lakewood and Associates.  He put me on hold. Came back nice as could be and asked for my case number. I gave it to him and he said he was not authorized so he transferred me. The next guy just said Lakewood and Associates and asked why I am calling. I told him about the message he left at my job. He then asked me to confirm my SSN. I asked him for his name.  After a slight pause, he said Joseph. He then gave me my full SSN and stated that I am being sued for a past debt and that in my state, unpaid debt is fraud. Long story short, he asked for a settlement. I asked more information and then how long to decide. He said now since the process server is out for delivery. I then said I do not have the amount to give him. He countered with how much do you have? I said it would not be enough. He then got mad and said then we will see you in court and hung up the phone.

Yep! They not only called me, but when I hung up on them, they then called my daughter then my mother under two different names and let it ring over 20 times!! These people are desperate and do NOT CARE who they scam out of their hard earned money.  My only comment to these fraudsters: QUIT STEALING OTHER PEOPLE’S MONEY AND GET A LEGITIMATE JOB LIKE THE REST OF US!!!!

"My name is Emily I'm calling from the Process Service Division. I have to go documents in the process of being served to an employee named the . I do need to speak with someone in regards to the policies and procedures. Please return the phone call as soon as possible to the phone number 866-313-3902 and reference to case number 2023 dash . The matter does require your immediate attention. Thank you." - This is the message I received so I called back and the person answered the phone Lakewood and Associates, and then transferred me to someone who put me on hold to verify the last 4 of my SSN put me on hold again else then was rude ..

Scam! Real process servers don't call in advance.

They called and said they are going to serve me papers and take me to court. They also said they will garnish my wages. They called my mom and place of employment. Said from Lakewood and Associates from 866-313-3902

Same, but the name was Amilia - exact same script from the messages above. I will not be calling this number back - thanks to everyone that posts!

i saved the message. it was a SCAM. threatening phone call about process servers and if i don’t call i will get a failure to appear. why is this legal?
