Sarah: It's a call from a service center trying to enroll you in Medicare. They won't stop calling either. I block one number, and they call again using another number. The giveaway with this particular center is 8ooServices on the caller ID. There are also many other unwanted Medicare calls coming from different agencies. It's very stressful. They call using different area codes, prefixes, and line numbers. They use my local area code and prefix with numbers belonging to local businesses such as calls from different departments of our local hospital, local businesses, and of course, residents. These harassers even used 'my' landline number to call me. I had to block my own phone number. Also, they have called me as late as a few minutes before 9 P.M. It's very harassing! Something really needs to be done. Phone harassment is a crime but the government does nothing about it. The 'National Do Not Call Registry' is a joke!

Anyway,  some phone updates now have a new feature; can set phone so if a number not in phone contacts will not ring. Of course this does not aid an independent business. Or someone waiting for a call back from a business, or medical clinic.
A search of internet shows it a Medicare scam fraud.
