I received 2 calls this morning 2/20 within minutes and no message and a call yesterday. This needs to stop. I will not answer phone numbers I do not know because I refuse to speak to telemarketers

I get a call from this number several times a week. Each time I answer they hang up. I tried to call back and it said it was Walmart Discover but it wouldn't give me an option that would let me reach a human. The weird thing is that they are calling a business phone. It isn't even a personal line they are calling.

My husband and I have had a WalMart card for 7 years now. We make the monthly payments, every single month, on-time ... no late payments ... for 7 consecutive years.

Then this is how we are treated when one payment arrives 2 days late. We didn't send it out late. We don't know what happened between here and their payment center that's only one state away or why it took 8 days to get there which I don't even believe.  

But, they didn't have to call here 5x in one day and harass me and then call back the next day all over again when the check was there by then. What was the point? Are they just stupid or crazy or both.

We also allow one-week for the check to arrive to their payment center (even though it's only in the next state and only takes 2-3 days) because we know that they want the payment to be late so that they can raise our interest rates once it's sent to collection ... which can happen even if it's only a day or two day late. Crazy. Unethical.

We decided not to shop there anymore. We sent a short letter to their Corporate Headquarters alerting them of all of the calls and the harassing conversations and the time/date and so on, along with a copy of the last statement, and a copy of the last check 'paid in full' ... we are done.

We also included/sent the cut-up into 20 tiny pieces credit-card, minus a few pieces.

We are done with WM. We paid off the last remaining $180 balance and that's it. We are done. Not playing these games.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We are checking our credit-report on a monthly basis to see if someone reopens the credit card and has it sent to their address or some bogus address of a foreclosed vacant property, of course without our knowledge ... it can and does happen. Watch out.

I have received numerous calls for the past few weeks, but keep the ringer on low and do not answer. They have no reason to be calling me as I am not late on my bills.

These psycho-callers might be scammers who are NOT really from Walmart, as another poster mentioned.

I think they might be trying to get people to pay with a check-over-the-phone payment so this way they can get your BARC -- Bank Account Routing Check # to later go back and clean out your bank account.

My advice; DON'T ANSWER THE CALL --- DON'T TALK TO THEM -- THAT PISSES THEM OFF.

These calls are tiring.  What can be done to stop them?

I called back the number which turned out to be Walmart discover. It turned out that my payment last month was short $25.00. They said they would turn off the phone calls. I made the extra payment which I was not aware was short today. They are a bunch of jerks because when you answer they hang up

They keep calling and hang up. Annoying

These idiots have called several times. After an early morning call this morning, in which I picked up the line without saying anything, and quickly hung up, they called two more times and I did the same thing. Then, I called the number back and it was confirmed to be Walmart Discover, or at least that is what they said in their outgoing announcement. After their automated system attempted to get me to enter a social security number or an account number many times, I finally got a live person on the line who could barely speak English (maybe some type of Asian?). I asked the person why they were calling my number and they stated they were attempting to speak with my granddaughter, who does have an account, but who never listed or associated my home number with her account. I told them to immediately remove my number from their data base and quit calling. Let's see if this works. I am still not convinced they are legitimate because the number on the back of my granddaughter's card is different than this number.

I would like to know what the call was about.

What was this message about? I pay Walmart on time and I have no outstanding bills that I know about.

They have called my number at least 6 times today. "Name unavailable" and leave no message. I want it stopped.

They call morning and night about same time every day.Want my SS number. I want them to stop calling.
They said they were with Walmart.I don't think thats true.

I look at caller ID and see this 800 number and don't answer.  When my answering machiners answers they hang up.  Never leave a message.  They call daily during the week and on the weekend several times a day.  Today is Saturday, they have called 5 times and it is only 3:45pm!  

I receive calls from 866-314-9507 which i refuse to answer. I have a walmart discover card that has had a zero balance for 6 months-i used it once, paid it off on time so walmart  itself is not after me to collect any money because i owe them nothing. I have a hunch this isn't even walmart related..walmart emails me coupons/deals/encourages use of my card..they themselves do not call me so i think the people calling from this number is some sort of scam but i don't get it. they call me like 2-3 times/day for the last month. I never answer because i'm familiar with the ph# now..what do they want?????

This is Belco Community Credit union, revolving accounts. I do have an old credit card account shared with my ex-husband, who is consistently late. Every time I actually talk to a person (they never leave a voicemail), they claim his name isn't on the account and don't have his acct info. The acct is in his name as it shows on his CB. I give them his contact info every time, tell them I don't handle the payments on this account and to talk to him. They say ok, but then every month continue to call me and claim the same thing! Very irritating. Whomever Belco is outsourcing their card services to is awful and they need to switch to in-house, or another company. They people are not the sharpest tools in the shed...

I always checked online before answering any unknown number calls.  I never picked up this call, no message left.  Keep calling me at least twice a day everyday.

This is Walmart Discover/Mastercard late-payment warning and debt-settlement site.  If they call you, you probably owe them money, or have late payment status.

Well legit or not, I have never had a Wal Mart card nor do I have any other credit cards. I admit I have had this phone number for about a year now, so maybe they are looking for someone who never changed their number with this creditor. As alot of people do not notify businesses when they change phone numbers. All I know is, I don't answer numbers I don't know, they did leave an automated message stating who they were, so I just block the number now. Don't care how many times they call. The following was the message that was left on my phone.

They have called 5 times within 2 hours.. leaving messages stating that someone owes money to walmart.
