I hung up as soon as the recording played "Hello this call is on behalf of discussion Canada..."
You can be sure it is a scam, something deceitful and/or something to do with political by-elections.  Why these people don't understand that what they do doesn't matter and the world wouldn't miss them if they all just died is a mystery.

It's a pattern of calls that I received every few months, it start with number of survey calls from different companies(sometime I got 4 to 5 different survey companies call me within a single day), it last for about a week or so then they all stop calling completely. Right after all survey calls stop, the next wave will be air duct cleaner, home alarm system, cruise vacation, windows & doors or debt consolidation. It usually last for 1 to 2 month, depend on which collection agency. Then all calls cease for a few days sometime a week before the final stage begin, it will be a collection agency's phone call....asking for someone that I don't even know or met. After that call from a collection agency, usually I will get a break for about a month or so before the next cycle begin with survey calls again. I live all by myself with no debt, no late payment. I just don't know why I become a  popular person or phone number for these agency to call me and harass me. Don't know why my number associate with all these people who run away from their debt(I am not judging anyone). If the collection agency use their brain to think....For someone who run away form their debt, will they tell anyone (especially to a total stranger) where they are going to hide?? Calling me (a total stranger to the person who you are looking for) not to say it's unproductive but it's also illogical. I am not working for CIA, KGB or MI6. How do I know all these people, who they are, where did they go?
I think all these survey, air duct, home alarm, cruise vacation or windows & doors are the foot soldier working for a collection agency.
Well, I already got a few survey companies called me this week....When I ask who is funding for those survey/research...there were a long pause and can not give me an answer. Well, once the collection agency call me I will update everyone here who is behind all this calls and who they are looking for.

Got called to answer some survey.  I called back, since I do not want them to call over and over again.  I talked in French, wich is my mother tongue.  Waiting for them to call back - will give you feedback if they do.  I was hoping to get the option to suppress my name from their list, which I might ask for if I find they are legit, telling them I do not want to get polled again.

Call came in @ 7:10 pm, don't usually answer 1-800 calls of any kind. If it's my bank they'll leave a message and I can call back, for the rest of you who are just pests, please get lost and don't call us, perhaps if you simply mailed your crap out to us would be a better idea that disturbing us - who've just finished working a 10 hour day on a construction site and could care less about your - - - surveys, political b.s., etc. - we're either trying to sit down to supper, have a life, get on with life and don't want or need to be bothered by you idiots! Get a real job and get lost!
