A family member of mine received a telephone call at their place of employment today from Accurate. I called Accurate at 11:50am today, December 5, 2012 at the number provided which is 866-315-5857. I provided the claim number which they left. I spoke to a customer service rep named Alex. Alex immediately asked whether my family member wanted to make a payment on the claim today in order to settle it. I asked Alex what was that claim for and he stated that "so and so should know". I informed him that Accurate is not to contact my family at their  place of employment and informed hime to cease and desist. Alex then asked for the telephone number of my family member's place of employment. I did not provide this information stating that he should have it given that Accurate called their place of employment today. Alex informed that Accurate did not have their employment telephone number and that perhaps "one of their locators" had it and they must have contacted my family member but that Accurate does not have the telephone number for their place of employment. I then informed him that this "locator" must be under the employ or contracted by Accurate given that a telephone call at their employment was made today. Multiple times, Alex informed that Accurate does not have the place of employment telephone number. Alex was then unable to state how this "locator" obtained the telephone number for their place of employment.

I believe that this is a bogus claim and that it is related to my identity theft issue dating back to January of this year and the online loans the thief applied for. I have also recently received similar calls at my place of employment with regards to "settling claims".

If it was a real claim to be settled, of which there none, the company would have the home address and telephone number and would contact there first. If anyone from Accurate contacts you, do not provide any information at all. Whatever this company is, they are fishing for information and not providing information. I suggest anyone reading this posting file a claim, as I did, with the Attorney General's office. I looked up Accurate on the internet and they do not exist as a company. I also did a reverse phone number search on the internet and there are many folks out there posting inquiries about scams about this same telephone number. Just be careful and do not provide information. It is a scam!!! Do not "settle any claims" by sending any payments to them. Contact the identity theft department of your local police department and file a claim with the Attorney General's office.

Think about it. If it was a real claim, the company would have your information. Alex also stated that "papers would be served" at the place of employment. Again, if it was a real claim and they had your information, they would contact you at your home. They would write to you at your home. Under the law, nobody can serve you with papers for anything without having sent a notification first to the address your provided. This is especially true for any banking or commercial claims.

Got another call today from a "private locator" that works for Accurate. Said her name was Jane Cameron. At first the phone number for her showed up as 817-916-8225. She hung up the call and then called again and the number appeared as being "blocked". She told me the same info that "Alex" did from my previous posting and provided the same claim number. When I called them (in my previous posting), I had my number blocked but somehow not they are calling me on my cell phone asking for my family member. These folks are very aggressive in their tactics and conducting fear tactics to see if somebody caves in and send them money. Be aware!!!

I had the same exact thing happen to me.  They are calling and harrassing my family members and my employer.  I reported this company to the Federal Trade Commsion, State of Texas Attorney General and the Texas Consumer Hotline.
When I did return the call of the "locator", the phone number was not a good number.  The company said I owed Check n Go also, but would not send me any information on the loan when I requested it.  The lady I spoke with said I wouldn't not receive anything from them until I paid the debt off in full.  I said I wouldn't release any bank/credit card information until I received some sort of documentation.
This is a scam!!  Funny how close it is to the holidays.....hmmm!!

This also happened to me.  They called my employer (Mr. Dan Bennison) stating he was a locator for accurate and to call the company at 855 621 7938.  When I called I got a guy that would not give me his name nor confirm the company name.  So I hung up.  Dan Bennison is continuing to call my place of work and my cellphone and telling ANYONE that answers the phone that he is issuing a warrant for my arrest.  I contacted the local police dept.  The officer stated this is a known scam, the problem is that they use scramblers to mix up the caller id number that appears on your screen, so tracking them is almost impossible.  The officer also said that if anyone had a warrant for you, they would not be calling you to warn you, the warrant would just be served.  I also contacted FTC, The Attorney Generals office and the BBB and filed complaints.  Do not pay!!!  Once I told Dan Bennison that I was recording every call that came in, he yelled "You don't have my permission to record these calls!"  I stated that if I felt I was being harrassed I had every right.  He quit calling my cellphone!
