- Sally7| 5 repliesI got a voucher that said I was awarded 2 complimentary round trip tickets to many major airports, plus a 7 day free rental if I answered within 72 hours...Call for details. Certain restrictions apply. I called and asked what company it was and they said Perfect Marketing. The back of the travel voucher says Paradise Travel. I googled both and found there is another number they use, 866-770-2812. Check out the comments there. I didn't bother to call these people back.
- Tony replies to Sally7I just received the same thing. I won't call the number, what did they tell you.
- Yonkel| 3 repliesI also got a voucher in the mail that said I was awarded 2 complimentary round trip tickets to many major airports, plus a 7 day free rental if I answered within 72 hours...Call for details. Certain restrictions apply. The back of the travel voucher says Paradise Travel at 535 Broad Hollow Road in Melville NY. I googled Paradise Travel Agency but did not find any located in Melville. I called telephone information and they gave the number 631 393 6072 for a Paradise Travel in Mellville but no address. I went to address and it is large building with many offices and one office on 2nd floor marked Paradise Travel. I called 866 number and you must have certain income , be 2 people (husband & wife), bring drivers license proof of id with photo and a charge card (for id purpose only they say). You must listen to 90 min presentation why using travel agency is better than booking online. It says tickets are for "many major airlines" but not which ones. Have not decided yet. Dont like the feel of it.
- Mary replies to YonkelI also received the same thing. Very leary as to who they are and what they want. They say they are a new travel company.
- Thank you replies to Yonkel| 1 replyThanks so much for this info. Saved me a hassle as I was trying to research the info as well. You saved me time.
- Rudy replies to Thank youJust received a hand written envelope addressed to me....it looked like a birthday card, and was mailed from zip code 43566 (Waterville, OH.). The envelope contained a travel voucher for two to Las Vegas with a contact # of 888-810-9442 to confirm, or I could confirm by typing in www.(my first name).(my last name).Perfektvacations.com. Envelope also contained an ad on newsprint that gives the name of Paradise Travel and explains why travel agencies give away trips for free. (Sure they do). Also in the envelope was another paper with my name printed on it, signed by "Debbie Brooks" with the same phone number as above. I went to the website "Perfektvacations.com", where it references Paradise Travel (no address or other info), but in order to get past the home page you need to enter the code# that appears on the paperwork. Clicking on a link there called "pack your bags" gets you this:
Congratulations . As you read in the letter, this is all about you. We spend our advertising dollars on YOU and hope that YOU spread the good word about us. That's right. We will show you how to save money on traveling and you will receive a certificate for 2 roundtrip airline vouchers. Please complete and/or correct the information below:

My opinion? This has SCAM written all over it. I'd just love to know where they got my name and address so I could stop doing business with the people who gave it out. - Dee replies to Sally7| 3 repliesI hope this posting helps consumers who may not have the time to do the research. We hope you carefully consider what we have found.
I also got the same "voucher". My husband and I went to the presentation on April 14. We figured we would listen to the presentation just to see what they were offering. No harm in becoming educated on any new travel programs out there right? We listened to the one hour presentation and it looked very impressive and all prices were WAY below the rates that are current. (I always look for travel deals when surfing the net...mostly for fun.) Our presenter, Lance, was very enthusiastic always clear to comment that you could join now (which was better) or at a later date (for lesser benefits). After the presentation, we were brought into a small office for the "pushy" part. Similiar to a timeshare plug. The price went from $7995 for four weeks, NOT including the $399 fee for "activation" and the $199 for yearly maintenance. The saleman left the room so my husband and I could "talk and decide". Here are a few of our observations regarding this whole experience. I took several pages of notes to ensure the accuracy of the information.
1) In my husbands opinion, this was a makeshift office. He felt it looked like they "set up shop" for a few weeks. It was not the way a "full service" travel agency would look by any stretch of the imagination.
2) After several hours of internet research we found (or did not find) the following information.
**Paradise travel is NOT listed on the Better Business Bureau website as was stressed in the presentation.
**There are NO websites anywhere with any key words listed in the presentation i.e. Paradise travel or VTC. (Strange how this is the "largest" service in exsistence".)
**The presentation stated that the "mother" company is in Michigan. I did not find any agency in Michigan that had the title "Paradise Travel". There are several other agencies in different states that use "Paradise Travel", but none that offers these services.
3) I called the original 800 number who made the reservation for us. The evening supervisor named Chris was unable to find any website information. He and I will speak later and I will update this site.
4) The free gift voucher is a bit of a scam. After reading the print--all of it--there are so many restrictions, you will never be able to travel. The evening supervisor Chris asked for a copy of this voucher because his company is giving misinformation. I was told when I called that yhse tickets were good year round. Here is what the fine print said.
"Surcharges will apply for "peak months". Are you ready for this? Here is what is considered "peak" travel. ALL of the following months" March, June, July and August. Also peak is considered to be the week prior, during and after a major holiday". What the hell does that mean? I'll make it clear for you.
If you wanted to go away for a getaway in October, remember that Columbus day is October 12. So--you cannot travel the first week of October, the second week or the third week without a "surcharge or extra fee". That's most of October! Well here's the kicker--November 11 is Veterans's Day and you cannot travel the week before etc. Therefore, you only have one week to travel if you can get it, and that's the last week of October. All based on availability. (FYI-I have a call in to the company who issues the vouchers--and will update when the info is received.) I would like to know how much the "surcharge" will be!
What is rather scary to us is that no information is out there regarding this company. And, you can always find the info on the internet--even one piece of info. The only information I found was this web blog. Now that's pretty scary. My husband feared that if the company did exsist and they went "belly up", where is the one time fee of $7995?"
Consumers BEWARE!!!!!!! If they are the largest, would we be able to find a shred of information about them? Look at RCI for time shares--they are the biggest and they are all over the internet!!!!!
I will update when I get any new information! - Liz replies to Deethank you for the info. You saved me a lot of time.
Also be leary of the free companion tickets - I bought something and received the free companion tickets - the glitch is you can only fly from certain airports and the free for the first ticket is more than what you can get on expedia or anywhere else. Example Newark airport to Ft. Lauderdale ticket cost $400. I can get the same ticket for $150.
Lesson - nothing is free. - RodThis sounds like the same postcard I just received. I was told the same info about the 90 min. presentation and ID needed but they were only giving me two nights lodging with the airfare for two and $100 in gas and $30 food card. The card said you could choose from 600 of Marriott's locations. Epic Marketing in FL was listed. When I tried searching out Paradise Today Travel software Co.,I got nothing. This sounds to secretive, so I think I won't be attending. The number I called was a bit different, it was 866-293-4010.

- Tom replies to DeeThank you for all of your footwork in tracking down the info on this "company." I set up an appointment for next week to hear their presentation, but with a bit of trepidation. "Too good to be true may be true" is a pretty good and safe rule to consider with any offer that
professes to make your life easier, more fulfilling, happier-- etc---. We all would like to beat the system once in a while and be a winner. Most of us will likely be burned once (or twice-or more) before we get the message.I was pleased to find at least a few folks on this site who are alert and concerned enough to check it out.
My intention is to keep the presentation reservation but be a no-show. At least there will be two empty seats in one of the "hot rooms." If everyone who gets a reservation and would do the same, there would be some satisfaction knowing that Paradise Travel was at least inconvenienced.
Thanks again for your efforts and confirming what I suspected to be true.----- Tom - Bev| 4 repliesI got the same postcard as Rod: 3 days/2 nights at one of Hyatt's 300 locations; 2 round-trip airline tickets to fly anywhere in the Continental U.S.; $100.00 in gas; $30.00 dinner card if claimed within the first 48 hours upon receipt of this postcard. The phone # 866-293-4010. I called and apparently answered their questions and made the reservation for tomorrow afternoon. It sounds so good...but my husband said absolutely not. So, I hope all these posts are right and that this is a scam, and that I'm not missing out on something really good. I wish I hadn't checked the mail today.
- Dianne replies to DeeThanks for the information! I threw away their postcrd - I guess when it seems to good to be true - it is!!
- Dee--original poster replies to Bev| 3 repliesDon't fret--it is a scam. You can look up "vacation travel club" and read all the pending complaints with the respective attorney generals. run--don't walk away from this!!!
- Sue replies to Dee--original posterI dragged my husband to the presentation telling him "just say no!" Sounded like such a good deal that he was ready to sign up even though I had coached him to "just say no".
We got our "free tickets, hotel, gas card and meal voucher." You have to enter your credit card into some website, pay $70 per person for the airline tickets plus all of the fees and taxes plus $35 per person for the hotel plus a "refundable" fee of $75 for the hotel, plus fees and taxes. Before the fees and taxes thats almost $300 to who knows how for these gifts. In addition you do not get to see the hotels or restrictions before you pay. NOT WORTH IT!
I told my husband that if they wanted our money now they would take it later and lets do our research. The only think I could find was in Florida the BBB had them listed. At the presentation they said they had been in business 19 years, the BBB had them opening March of 2009. And they already had 1 complaint listed. Well now 2 after mine.
BIG SCAM! Don't go but take up seats as a previous post said. - Happy with membership replies to Dee--original poster| 1 replyMy wife and I joined vacation travel club and have been very pleased with their discounts and service. We went to Hilton Head S.C. in Oct. We paid $399.00 for a week in a 1 br condo that was very nice.Included with the condo stay was 2 rounds of golf a day we only paid a $35 cart fee. If you have ever been to HHI you know this is a very good deal. It's No Scam !!!!!
- AnnWe received a post card from Epic Marketing 10181 W. Sample Rd, Suite 202 in Coral Springs, FL 33065, with an RSVP #877-217-6450. We called made a reservation. We were told that both husband and wife had to attend, 2 forms of ID, no children or other people were to come with us, and when I asked where to park the girl told me to park next to the hotel and that they would stamp our parking ticket. Two days before we were to attend, they called and told us we couldn't attend but needed to come today or tomorrow. That was a red flag to me. We told them we couldn't attend any other date (principle of the thing). Later, my husband wanted to go so he called them back up and behold they had seats so we could attend! Well, we attended, listened to this "too good to be true" presentation; $7995 package, $495 processing fee, $300/year maintenance fee. Oh, then they offered $1,000 to the first two people who signed up. The $1,000 was to be used for extra fees and such you may need to pay! We saw SCAM here and did not buy into it. They gave us some literature on the "special offer" and tried to send us away. I asked about the parking ticket and they said they didn't have a stamp but it would be $1.00 and the other guy would give us the money. I asked him for the $1.00 (again, its the principle of the thing and when I smell SCAM I get annoyed and start demanding my rights). Amazingly, he didn't have a dollar in his pocket! He asked another employee, and he didn't have one either!! There were 4 men in total, not one had a dollar in their pocket! The people behind me were waiting to get processed too and I told them, I have a dollar but they told me they would pay so they should pay, its a matter of principle. They agreed with me. Eventually one of the men saw I was not going to "leave" so he somehow found a dollar. We left the hotel and the parking attendant asks for $3.00!! We had over-stayed our 2hr time limit, since they fussed around to find the dollar bill! The parking attendant ED told us they are liars and not affiliated with the hotel and they never paid for parking for previous customers (No wonder none of them had a dollar!!). I was upset and told my husband to turn around and let me go back in to demand two more dollars!!! He didn't want to do that because he knew I was going to go in and tell everyone left in that room that they LIED to us about the parking and everything else. I was going to read the fine print of my vouchers to them and the whole nine yards. They would really hate to see me and wished I hadnt' attended. What a SCAM it was and if they can't even pay $1.00 out of their pocket there is definitely something fishy going on here. Please take the advice and RUN!! Unfortunately I wasn't smart enough to get on the computer to check them out until we went through this. I sure hope all of you reading this is smart, take the advice from Tom (8 July 2009) and Sue (24 Sept 2009) and be a no-show! Its definitely a WASTE OF TIME!! We will be complaining to the BBB also.

- "Hard to believe" replies to Happy with membershipI'm glad you're happy but I'm not. I also received a postcard in the mail promising a free vacation if I came to a presentation. The name of the company was Paradise Today and I went to the presentation on 10/19/09 and they gave us a binder with all this impressive information/pictures and I purchased their special @ $3995.00 on my American Express card and went home to check them out. After checking all the info I could find, I used my rescission rights. It was supposed to take only 15 business days to return the money but they haven't returned it as of today. I have made numerous phone calls only to be given excuse after excuse, glad I used American Express! I have filed a complaint with the BBB as well and any other agency I can find that will help protect consumers. They said they were a part of Sun Travel, Inc. that had an A+ rating with the BBB (they gave us this info in writing) I checked them out but as of today they don't have any rating. I hope you continue to be happy with your membership but I would tell the rest of you to beware. I hope this helps someone from making a mistake, that's why I wrote it.
- PennyI got a similar postacard, but this one for an 8-day, 7-night cruise for two. When we called, we were told the same thing as the people said above--I actually googled them while I was on the phone and found your information--thank you for saving me from a lot of frustration!
