Left VM that they were Amazon stating that there was a $999 charge made and to call.

Call reports to be from Amazon.

VM said it was my Amazon Account with a purchase charge of 999.00 and to call it was not mine.

"Thank you for calling us back, please call (866-318-1227) Amazon customer support to get your product to you".
The above sentence was left on my voicemail.  I haven't ordered anything from Amazon in a while.  I believe this is obviously a scam of some sorts.  Thanks All.  It's definitely a scam, unsure if it's phishing scam,

I received a message similar to ones posted previously.  They said something about a contract and $999 and if it wasn’t mine to call the number back.  I called the number and the man tried to tell me he was issuing a refund to me for computer security services I had already paid.  I asked for the date I paid for these services and told him I would call back if I could find the original charge.  I looked through my bank statements as well as credit card statements and couldn’t find anything close to what he was talking about.  I’m not going to call back because this is SO OBVIOUSLY a scam.  In order to refund, he will need to obtain a credit card, or bank account, but after issuing a small refund, he will turn around and charge as much as he can get away with.  Definitely use caution if talking to this person.  Don’t give out ANY information that can identify you or your money.

Called about 10 minutes ago stating that $900+ has been spent using my Amazon acct. and to call them back if it was not me.  I did not call back.  I called Amazon and they gave me a link to report call to their security people.

Robo call from Amazon.  Scam to call the number back.

I got a robocall from 866-318-1227 claiming to be from Amazon. I need to report this call.

They called and left a message about a 999.00 order recently placed with Amazon.  I called the number back, the man had an East Indian accent and was very testy when I said I had not ordered anything in that price range,  he said it was ordered from a Windows computer associated with this phone number.  I said I don’t have windows.  When I would not give him more information he angrily asked me twice, “do you know who you are talking to?”  ‘I could sue you for 25,000”.

Had the same message left that I had been charged $999 for an iphone 11 through my Amazon account and to call back if i did not purchase.  Robo call.  I have not been charged anything on my Amazon account.  Definitely a scam.

Don't call back. Scum bag scammers. Second time I called back they said they were Pizza Hut.
