No message

I answered the phone. No one responded, but the line sounded open. I could hear some activity in the background, but no one said anything even after a second "Hello." An Internet search appears to indicate that this number is for DirecTV, but I'm not a subscriber. The fact that someone else on this page got a call at around the same time makes me think someone may be spoofing the number.

There is no name associated with this number meaning it's spoofed and, therefore a scam.

Answered, no response.  Open line.  Eventually disconnected.  Blocked.

Caller ID said DirectTV, which has an 800 number w/ the same last 7 digits. I don't have directtv but answered. Man said he was with att and directtv, and how did i like my service with them.  Clearly a scam.

Just dead air after a couple of clicks.  Another scam.  Allegedly DirectTV.

Just called.  No message left.

This number showed on caller ID, and I did not answer.  No message left.

Caller ID showed 'anonymous', no response when phone was answered.

I had the same issue with said “provider”. I informed them I don’t have such services and he just LAUGHED over the phone and then it went quiet. I could hear noise in the background but no response on his end. No name given either

Was looking at my phone when they called, I denied the call. They immediately call back, I deny the call again and block the number. Supposedly this number is linked to DirecTV but I’m not a customer. I haven’t done so much as google them recently either.

Called@ 5:00 pm eastern time. Left no message. Hung up when the answering machine came on, which means that this was a scam call. I checked the number & it says it’s from Direct TV. CID said Toll Free Call. I never answer calls from names & numbers I don’t know or call them back.

Rec'd an anonymous call from TOLL FREE CALL 1-866-319-9838 don't recognize the number they are hiding their identify suspect scammers.

Called, I answered, no response, although the line was open.  Definitely a scam caller.

sent call to VM but no mesage was left.

5 min ago. Did not answer.

Caller claimed to be with ATT-Uverse. Asked me if I had ATT-Uverse, I said yes. Then asked me if everything was working fine with my service, I said yes. Then he just hung up. Strange call.

Just got a call from this number with no Caller ID other than number and they did not leave a message.

Did not answer unknown call. Googled 8663199838, with no dashes, the first choice offered was FedEx tracking but the link does not work although it opened my app and this number is NOT the one FedEx provides for package tracking. Other web listings indicate this is a Spam number.
