A online check-cashing service debt collection agency.  Refused to send any proof of debt unless I agreed to payment plan, didn't want to send copies of payment plan agreed upon, would not agree to send anything at all unless I gave them my debit card info to 'set up payments'.  Spoke with my attorney and he said most of the check-cashing debt collection agencies are scams and to not give them any information as the money does not go to the actual companies.

Got a voicemail from the company saying that they were looking for my friend in regards to a "Bad Check Charge" and to have him call back. The woman identified herself as Lena James, and gave a case number that I couldn't find online. Seems fishy.

Got a call saying a complaint had been filed against me. Wanted my address or last 4 of my social security number. I asked for a middle inital, would not give to me. I refeused to give address or last 4 of social. They said their company name was American. I reported to attorney general as they said ok go ahead and get a failure to report and hung up!
