They give you a file number don't know what that means and tells you to contact the legal department

Turns out that in my case a process server left this number for me to call regarding my outstanding debt with Advance America, for a payday loan.

I'm waiting for them to mail be proper documentation before I send them any money.

I got a call from them as well, for a payday loan with docket number and threatening warrant fo fraudulent check charges. Haven't rec'd one piece of paperwork though so not sure how to handle it

I just got a call from my father telling me he received a call just now from a rep from Bayside Recovery saying they were at my last known address to serve me with papers for fraudulent check writing and that I was going to be prosecuted...they were demanding in a not so nice way info about me from my father and threatening him. He finally told them to F off and hung up the phone. I

I got a call from this number claiming to be a debt collector for an actual company I owed money to. I paid them and now a year later the actual collector is calling me saying I never paid. What a nightmare.

My mother gave me the message of this number providing a case number and saying they will come to my job. When I called, they claimed to be Bayside Recovery claiming I had a payday loan with Riverside. The asked for the last four numbers of my social; I refused to give it to them. I asked for their address; I was not provided one. I asked to be mailed the paperwork, they said they would give it to me personally but would not establish a place of contact. This is clearly a scam.
