Phone identified it as debt collector and blocked it.

Wow...I don't know who this debt collector is. Never heard of them, but coming to this site is very helpful. If they are a legit company, why are they not leaving a message?

Calls continuously. All these calls should be considered harassment. Especially the ones that are using your local area code. WHAT IS THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST FOR??? I know I have not been to these websites but they still CALL!!!

They buy debt that is too old to collect  for pennies on the dollar then proceed to try to collect be threats and call from about 100 different numbers. They try to trick you into making arrangements for the debt which makes it collectable again.

This caller calls from an 866 number, then from a local area code. Never leaves a message. I don't owe anyone, so I don't know why I'm so famous.

This number belongs to PORTFOLIO RECOVERY ASSOCIATES.  They are the King of the Bottom Feeders when it comes to debt collection.  They call you from multiple numbers from multiple states, over and over again.  The only thing you can do is block them and do not answer any unknown phone numbers.

The national do not call list is dead.  There has been no funding for enforcement since 2012.

Portfolio recovery   Debt collector.  Unfortunately, I got a new phone number recently and it musty have been the previous phone number of a deadbeat.  I get approx 20 calls a day from numbers all over the US.  Telling them that I just got this phone and the person they are looking for is not me, does no good.

The National Do Not Call List is for Telemarketers only.  Not Collections agencies.

This number calls me from so many didn’t phone numbers and NEVER leaves a message!!!! The only thing I can do is ‘Block’ each number that calls me!

They must hear that all day. I wouldn't believe it either. Sadly the are scrum bags.

Keep calling for someone I've never heard of.  I've only had this number for about 3 months.  I tell them they have the wrong number and they say they will remove the number from their records but they keep calling and I keep blocking.  My call blocker holds 5000 numbers.  Let's see if they give up before that!
