Calling to say there is an important business matter that needs my attention

they called me at my place of employment.

Call left message on answering machine to return call within 24 hours.

this is bull they call to say I owe bills from years ago and it is absolutely not true.  This is just a absolute fraud, trying to get money from people that dont owe it.  Must really be hard up for money!

Just called, stated "thank you for calling us, please hold & someone will be with you shortly". Ha ha ha. I never called them in my life.
So, I wait for a bit to see who they are.
Was kinda funny though, when I heard clicks transferring me to the person, they actually hung up on me !

Keep sending them to voicemail and delete VM. Report them to FCC and BBB for calling even if you tell them you are not the one they are calling. If you do have a bill DO NOT talk to them as they aim to reset your debt that is beyond the statute of limitations...  Trying to collect debt beyond SOL is ILLEGAL!  Report them to shut their abuse practices down.

PS:  they also use "spoof" numbers to get you to pick up phone. If you don't recognize, send to voicemail.

I have asked them over and over not to call.  I told the lady that the person she is trying to reach does not live here, has never lived here, I have been here over 40 years.  She says , but you know this person. I said  SO WHAT, she does not live here. I know a lot of people. STOP calling.  But they still call everyday.

I got a call on my cell phone I just got and have not give out number said was Edwards collection have never heard of them but they need to leave people alone must be crazy  to want to bother people

Does anyone have a mailing address for these creeps? A registered cease and desist order will make it illegal for them to contact you any more. The content of this order can be found on several sites.

How long is the Statute of Limtations???

They called for my wife. After verifying information it turned out to be a different person with the same fairly common name. It was a generic skip trace attempt where they contact anyone with that name hoping to find the right one.

Left a message said they have papers would be served at home address or at place of employment. Press 1 to talk now

You obviously know nothing about debt collection law do you? “Aim to reset the debt beyond the statute” 🤣🤣🤣

4 year statue to file suit in the state of Texas and can report on your credit for 7 years from the date of last payment with the original creditor. But technically abdebt is owed for life. If services are rendered they should be paid. Life happens and times get hard but eventually all debt should be paid. Just think if everyone paid their bills there would be no need or a collection agency.
