Called me , my family and my job AGAIN ( I get these calls about every 3 months). It's outrageous that they do this. Claim they are Atlantic and are about to file " charges" if I had a dime for every time they called and threatened this is be a millionaire. How can they be stopped????

Call blocker might be of some help.  Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd.  Or where there is no caller ID.

Total scam.  "Charges" are filed by public prosecutors, if they determine a crime has been committed.  Being in ordinary civil debt is not a crime and you cannot be arrested for it.  Debt collectors have nothing to do with law enforcement.

Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  DIME  until the debt is validated.

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

I've been getting the same type of calls from (866) 322-8486 and don't have a CLUE who they are.  Same kind of threats. Very annoying! :(

Me also.  I called them and told them to remove my phone number from their bogus account 'Sam Brown' and blocked them.

I asked them for documentation and have not received anything and they called me again.  I get these call every year at this time

First thus number called my brothers cell phone asking for me. And now im getting them. They dis this last year and told them i wanted to see proof. To this day I havent seen any

Says we have a fax ready need to you to call back and verify information for a law suit....when u call back they are threatening and rude and we tell them send it thru the mail or just say stop calling us we are not interested in this Scam we have never received anything 2 years in a row now
