These guys re-routed a call placed directly to link sys, and pretended to be the tech support division. My computer was totally hacked.

Got a call yesterday from someone with a very strong Indian accent telling me that they were from Microsoft and my computer was sending error messages.  I asked them which one?  He said, "the one you are using."  I said I am using 2, and didnt notice errors.  I hung up...but please look this up - it's a scam.

Caller with an Indian accent wanted $90 to rid my PC of a trojan; said he was with NetGear! That's the 3rd call from this number. Stupid scammers.

They called and said they were outsourced technical support for the company that provides my wireless service, and that they had traced an overload of error message viruses overloading their servers originating from my router and then demanded Remote Desktop control of my computer. I asked for a call back number and name. I looked up the number, found this site, and hung up.

The wirelessnetwork is owned by my husband and even then I received a call from 866-332-4256 in my cell and I haven't shared my details to any of the network provider. They called me from 000-000-0000 and from 004 and many other numbers. Caller requested access to remote my computer. I was suspecious -Linksys is not owned by me and how they got my cell number. I googled and found it is a scam. I received 5-7 calls in a day from them.
