I called the number and it asks for my 16 digit card number so I entered a series of 16 5's. It repeats the number and asks me to confirm that its correct. Then it asks me to enter my 4 digit expiration date so I entered 2015. Once again it repeats the number and confirm. Next it asks me to enter my 4 digit pin number and I enter 0666. Once again with the repeat and confirm. Finally it tells me my card has been verified.

Knowing that I entered an extremely fake number there's no way it could've actuallyy been verified and this is nothing but a scam to get people's credit card numbers. I felt I should post this so others can be aware though and I will probably report this to the autorities.

I got the same message but from @sc-bank.com; I guess you are right, it's card fraud, and I won't call back. Be alert everyone.

Just got a text from 866-332-9887@sc-bank.com saying they needed verification, yada yada.

I didn't bother to call. These people should be tortured.

I just got the same text called # and it states the # is not available try agn later. This is a SCAM! If your card needed to be verified or there was an issue with a transaction it would be your bank who notifies you.

Yeah...I got the same thing and entered "GO F YOURSELF BITC%" in numericals.  Then for expiration, I typed "PISS" in numericals, and then "OFFF" in numericals for my passcode.

Don't respond...and notify authorities!

This is amazing. I tried the same thing with random numbers, then called back and entered "9"s for everything from the CC#, the EXP, and the PIN. Even with 9 entered the entire time, my card was verified. Anyone stupid enough to enter their CC # to a phone number that sends an unsolicited text almost deserves what's coming to them. I just wish there was a way we could report these [***].

I just received the same text, from "sc-bank". It's definitely a scam, and I reported it to the FTC via their online complaint assistant. I urge you to do the same.

I got a similar text googled it has several things associated with it probably an auto diler and now texting on cell phones best thing inform royal canadian monties fraud division call your provider complain ask them how you cell go int a canadian toy company. Google any suspicious number

I got the same thing via text on my tmobile prepaid cell phone.  scam.

received a call from SC bank asking for credit card verification. I entered a random set of 16 #'s, than it asked for expiration date, again entered random #'s then it asked for pin, again I entered random #'s and I was told I was confirmed. I knew that a bank would not do this so I played along, and now I inform authorities

just got the same bs text on my t-mobile. i would advise not to reply text or call at all. just delete and report if you like.

My father just got the same text message. Like many of you, I put in fake credit card information and it said that this information has been verified. Has anyone reported this to authorities and if so, has anything been done about it?

Got the same text on my T-Mobile phone from "866-332-9887@tmomail.com" specifically asking me to verify my debit/ATM card information. Scary since I use my debit card to pay my T-Mobile bill and not my credit card.  How does it know? How should I report this?

This is insane I knew it was total fraud it said something about commerce bank I believe and I don't bank with them. I entered in all 0's trying to get to an operator but to no avail lo wack scammers!!

Ridiculous. I received the same text and reported it to my credit union so other people can be warned about this.

I just want to know,how they got my #,and how odd is this for them to boldly think someone is going to give out that kind of info ??? This was really scary for me...I did the same crazy # thing and it confirmed me...People please be carefully...This is desperation at its finest...
