Has anyone received a phone call from Check Recovery Services from this number.  They told me they were going to serve me papers if I didn't pay off my debt.  I actually have an attorney who is validating the loans claimed by these collectors on my behalf, I told CRS and they told me they don't deal with attorney's as it is past that, mind you, my attorney sent verification forms and copies of power of attorney to the ORIGINAL loan company, then the collection agency, then the third party collection agency, my attorney rec'd no response and all I get is harrassing nasty phone calls.  I've told them time and time again all they need to do is verify the loan with my attorney so I can have that in writing then I have no problem settling my debt and settle that with me not even an attorney.  I'm at my wits end with these people, I paid off a debt to a company before that wasn't the company I actually owed the money too, they scammed me and took my money so that is why I need verification....

Just got a call from these people. I will be contacting the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of PA and the State of Delaware regarding these people. I am not dealing with any 3rd party regarding a loan. The only people that I know of that can serve you papers are law enforcement agencies. My company will not take papers from anyone other than a court. I'd file a complaint against these people. The guy that called me today was "Donny McCoy" (if that's his real name). He didn't even say what the company name. I googled the number and got the name from you. Thanks for your help.

I received the same phone call but the guys name was Brad Rich, stating he will be serving me papers I asked him what it was in regards to he said a loan I asked from who and the 3rd party could not provide any further information except the 8663447852 and a file number when I called this number I receive no information can anyone provide me with any further information. Please help

Yep, that's the number this lady gave me who said she had court papers from state of NJ to deliver to either my home or work place, she said I can call the plaintiff which was that number.  They are a collection agency out of Buffalo NY, my attorney says it's a scare tactic, first off they have to validate the loan to get court papers and 9 out of 10 they can't.  First and foremost request something in writing to validate the loan, then see what they provide, I would get an opinion from a debt lawyer whether its legal and valid if they ever do send you anything.  They did tell me what loan they have of mine, it went from one third party to another third party and no one responds in writing to my attorney to validate the loan, so I'm hoping they will cooperate instead of being grimey

Your welcome, I'm looking to contacting small claims court, this girl on my job just gave me the form.  Its true now that you mention it about law enforcement agencies to serve you papers.  They have about 10 complaints against them on BBB and responded to not a one!!!  Also, my attorney showed me a website for collection agencies and they're ratings and this one was the worst!!!  They threaten arrest, extortion, wage garnishment, any threat they can think of.  Unbelievable that all I ask is to verify my loan and then I'll pay and I get this treatment!!!

You can actually all the FCC and report them.  they are not allowed to call you with scare tactics, I had one company call me awhile back and they told my mom I was going to be arrested.  And I have never been arrested or heard from them again after I gave them a piece of my mind.  I'm not even going to call these people back because it is untrue.  They just do this so that you DO call back.  And if it was something you really needed to pay, why not just sent a letter in the mail?? Duh.  So don't worry about it, nothing will happen and they will not serve you with court papers.

This "law firm" (as I was told when I called in) called my first husbands mother who dosent live in my city and informed her that they were with the " federal ag's office" trying to arrest me with four felony warrants they were holding on me.  Distraught she calls my son who then sends me an urgent message regarding this and I call in (a bit scared I might add, actually more than a bit wondering what I had done wrong!) and it's regarding a payday loan I have not paid.  I have to say that I was in fear.  Now I'm just plain mad and I hope I do hear from them one more time!! Watch out for CRS Legal as they call themselves.  Strange, now that I think of it the woman I spoke with wouldn't verify her name but she threatened to "process and charge" me this very day!!  I thought she already did...huuuuummmmph!!!!!  Thank God for the State of Texas and our government who enact these laws but cant seem to govern the sleazebag collectors.  I may sue CRS Legal....theyre # is 866-344-7852.  Probaly not their number or their name....

I received a phone call today at work , with a lady saying I would be served papers at my job or home , when I asked for what company she would not give me any information just a phone # and supposedly a case #. I was franctic so I called the # ans was told the same thing. The person that I spoke to name was Jennifer Phillps I guess. I think it is a scam somehow someone received all of my personal information and calls me every few weeks. I have filed a police report and put alerts on all 3 bureaus.
