I got a call just today from this number. Actually, a resident that lives in the apartment complex I happen to manage got the phone call, not me! She realyed the message and when I called them back he said it was attached to a payday loan that was taken out over the internet back in 2008. After trying to get them to verify how they got any information on my resident... which he never told me how. He insisted I owe this, when I have never taken out a payday loan in my life. He asked several questions about my personal info and sure enough he had some of my information correct. However, I asked him how in the world he could have SO MUCH info on me, but not a phone number to call me directly. (such a dummy)
He told me that I was responsible for paying this debt and siad that if I refused to work out any payment agreement with him, then I would be served papers.He could not answer for me how this was taken out in 2008 and I am just now getting (messages) called about this. He could not explain how it was not showing up on my credit report after being over 2 yrs old and late, with no payments having ever been made. After ARGUING with him and his "supervisor" (that sounded just like the first guy I spoke with) he told me that if I didnt pay it we would go to court and I would end up paying 3x what the loan amount is. I told him to send me something showing this debt and he couldnt do it. He said I would just have to wait to be served. So, I told him I would be patiently awaiting his SO CALLED PAPERS!
I did some research on this 'company' and they are a debt collector for uncollectable debts. They cannot verify the correct information and they harrass you until you pay. The name of it is "Statewide EDR Firm". Good luck dealing with these jerks! Know your civil rights in your state and your consumer laws. You do not have to put up with the load of "crap" these people will try to throw at you.

i been dealing with that state wide edr company for 2 weeks now they have been very helpfull they set me up with a paymentt plan  and also gave me a one time offer for about 45% off . in the past i took out many pay day loans and had my wages garnished or a jugdment so i was not taken any chances this time around . well if this helps anyone ur welcome  .. and they sent me a paid letter with in 20 min of my finaly payment
