That's B.S.  If they wanted to take you to court they would have sent a summins by person to you.  I heard that message when I called back and the phone kept ringing and ringing.

You shouldn't be scared.  Couple of things.  If you saved that message you can actually sue them.  It is against the law for them to threaten you in such a way.

They tried the same threats on  me, we should all band together and try and stop this from happening again.......

This number 866-350-1181 is for a company called National Credit Adjusters. If you are receiving a call from them, that means you had a loan at some point with this comapany. This company is not a US comapany and has been trying to get old customers to pay more money by saying you never paid off your old loan. Do not admite to anything just get there address and send them a letter telling them to stop contacting you. Look up sample letters about FDCPA. If they don't stop calling you after you send a letter, then you can contact a lawyer.

Yeah, they also go with 620-664-5496. Same guy (Jacob), same line of summons baloney. not to be taken seriously.

have been receiving calls from them for a credit card that I never had.  They are being really obnoxious, is there anything I can do to stop the calls?

got a call on my cell phone from this number 866-350-1181 is a payday loan collector form National Credit Adjustors I never answer how they got my cell # I don't know will have to send a cease and desist letter to these collector

I got a call from a girl named Devon.  I pretended to be someone else and took a message.  She left a different call back number 800-542-1048.  She said she was returning my call.

man said it was 3 different companies located from the number i asked which companies and he gave me a real estate company and 2 other companies, then kept asking me what number did they call me at and he can direct my call

First they are calling claiming charges are being filed against me for fraud in the county I live in.  Failure to call will result in an immediate summons.  Then they call later claiming to be a local ambulance service billing department and I need to call them 8-5pm M-F.  At one time it was a Buffalo NY number (716 area code), and still is used, but also this number.  And it's always an 888 or 877 number to reach them...8884633488for the ambulance service.  
I saved both messages.
The fraud charge one was from Buffalo NY.  716 923 7408, to call 8772520491 in repsonse.  They gave their name as Marval & Associates, their web page is under construction with those numbers listed..  
Since both of these places have used the 716 # in the past, I assume it is a collection agency.  the number on the website 716 923 7409 is a fax machine.

i just received a call from 866-350-1181 and 620-665-7178 and a letter from national Credit Adjusters stating i owed 900.00 plus monies on something i already paid off!!i think it is a scam to prey on people to get paid again.Always ask for a paid in full letter.

they are trying to get double the amount of my loan from me in 5 days does anyone no there adress they said they were marval and associates.

Yes of course save your message then you can try to get an American working person in trouble for begging you to pay your bills you should be ashamed of yourself

Same balogny, different day. I think in these days of economic issues, more & more of these fly by nights are going to pop up. Some bills will be legit, some will be false or inflated. My suggestion? Simply don't answer the calls. I know they are annoying, but  many things in life are. Ignore them, only a judge can summon you, subpeana you, issue a judgement against you etc. They use scare tactics. Don't let them scare you. There are not courts of law
