Has called twice over the past 2-3 weeks.  Woman named Vicky with an assertive female voice.  Her number is blocked on my caller ID. But she left this number on my voice mail and said that "You need to return this call"  and that "I think I can help you you".  No mention of what business she is with or what business she has with me.  My wife purposely called back after hours to see what her voice mail recording said and there was some mention of window manufacturing.  I don't trust it though.  I am currently dealing with a bill collector and I believe the voice mail my wife heard was bogus.

I have gotten this caller several times, at the Police Station! Caller hangs up as soon as I identify, they hang up!

Company is called GC Services.  Very aggressive collection agency.  Actually, kind of rude too.  Called and asked what the company does and their scripted robot of a receptionist kept saying they are a financial services company with a wide range of services.  Asked for more detail and would not tell me.  Told me call could have been coming from "Lottery Department or refund department."  Clearly a lie, and when i addressed it with the supervisor he thought it was funny.

Rec'd a call from "Cynthia Colmanero" asking me to contact one of my neighbors and have her return the call ...  Bizarre ...

Cindy Calmanero, no number on my caller I.D., asked me to deliver a message to one of my neighbors.

I found the same number on my caller I.D, missed calls from earlier in the day.

Person named Marvin Delgado called asking me to contact a neighbor and have him call back.  Would not tell me the nature of the call.  I told him I am on the FTC do not call list and to remove my number.

Got the same call from Mr. Delgado (Melvin, I think) yesterday, (9/16/2008) same thing. Have my neighbor ... call him back. "She'll know what this is about."

Good thing I'm suspicious. She's going through a divorce and the last thing she needs is this kind of crazyness.

This guy from 866-350-7247  x 2520 Ben Johnson with GC Services has called all my neighbors, and even my parents in NY and is harassing them. I owe some money fro some back surgeries. My insurance company upped my deductible from 1000 a year to $5000 out of pocket without telling me. Who has $5000 to spend when they can't work and has been waiting almost a year for a disablilty determination.

Called to take a number to one of our neighbors and ask them to call back.  Very rude while asking for a favor...

I Got the same call from DARRELL KILLINGSWORTH FROM SANDIAGO (866-350-7247 x 2374) He asked me to delever his number to my Nextdoor Neighbor.

We had a neighbor knock on our door at our new house and tell us to call this number. Her info was vague, she was old. When I called it via *67 and questioned the reception without giving out any of my info, "ricardo" got pissed and said they would just contact another one of my neighbors. Is this harassment? They're just looking for people at an address. How can they harass people at an address, I am probably not who they are looking for. If this is collections, this method is absurd and should be illegal!

A woman named Roxie asked me to give this number to one of my neighbors.
She said she got my number from the white pages, and I can't hide.  I told her I wasn't trying to hide. Strange!

Got a call from Alisa.
She said hey Lisa give me a call 8663507747.
Yea right I don't know any Alisa.

Received a call from a collector asking if my neighbor still lived at the address and if I had a current phone number.

We have been through the round of collections when my daughter required emergency heart surgury and we had no insurance.  We put the bill on a CC, after the hospital offered us a 60% discount if we paid immediatly.

Then a couple months later my husband was laid off, we missed payments, and the interest rate went to 29%.  This account went to collections and they contacted family and neighbors looking for us because we didn't return the phone call.

It is legal for collection companies to contact friends, neighbors and possible relatives if they can "claim" that they do not know where you are currently living.

You must contact them back and verify your address and phone.  This establishes that they have the correct information and they must discontintinue the "search" at that point.

You can send them a "cease and desist" letter to get them to stop calling your home.  But most companies will immedidatly move for a judgment, as they have no other means of collecting when you don't communicate via phone.

In my experience, it is best to call back and get the contact and account details.  If you can't pay, let them know when it might be a possiblity.

If the account is in question or past the statute of limitations, send a debt verification request.  Info on this is widely availabe on the internet with sample letters.

I got the same thing with the lady calling my house asking to deliver a message to a neighbor. The lady's name was allysa. Weird, right?

lady named alyssa asking me to go to my neighbors and ask to return her call, i asked how did you get my #? she said she went to white pages!

Received a call and a lady by the name Kelly requested to contact a neighbor and she left the number 866-350-7247 ext 2341.
