I receive phone calls almost everyday; in regards to some type of bill that my ex-husband owes. We were separated in 2001 and divorced in 2006 because it took me five years to find him. I have not spoken to him in almost a decade. I don't know anything about him: where he works, lives, or his phone numbers. I have told this to the company on several occasions. I even told them I would send them documentation if they would give me their address, anytime I ask for their address I get hanged up on.

There is a good chance that this is a scam to extort money out of you. However, there is one thing I'd like to mention. It is not uncommon for people skipping out on bills to give someone else phone number as a reference.  But the fact that they phone you, won't give their address, points to scam.

Debt collection.  Calling to tell me they are coming to my place of business and/or residence.  Is this even legal?  I have no debt and this is usually another person with same name that owes ALOT of money.   Id like to know where they get my CELL number!

It does not matter how they got your number. The deal is---they are calling it illegally and without your consent. Let them know this the next time they call---and you are recording them and intend to have them traced and prosecuted for (among other things), violations of the TCPA and FDCPA.

Got a call from the oct 24th 2015 stating that i defaulted on a payday loan in july 2011. They did not know the pay day loan company i used, nor but they did know my last 4 of my social and last 4 of bank account number and my address, which im sure they got off of a payday loan site, cause i had an issue way back then.  I checked my bank and was told i never got a payday loan in july of 2011 nor did i have any returned payments or issue during that time all payday load companies had been paid back. Also i asked for their address or an website, they refused, when u call the number back everyone answers the phone with a different name of the company  and the initial answering of the system does not say the name of the company hust music and someone picks up rude and unprofessional with you. Everyone had an attitude. I called back 8 times and was always told dont call back here no more get a good lawyer and we already put in the summons for court. No one wanted to provide me with any information and they all just hung up on me.

My family members are receiving calls from this company trying to reach me. I am not aware of the debt and the fact they are calling family members randomly is very unprofessional.

I have been receiving calls from this number over a long period of time.  They actually used a local number 612-212-5348 to call me from.  I did return this call and was asked about my Son.  They asked me to contact him and   give him the 866 number to call.  I'm not sure who these people are suffice it to say they are operating behind the scenes of law enforcement and possibly extorting money from people who are in debt.  I suspect they have no clue where or who these people are in debt to but essentially scare these people with court.....BIG EXTORTION OPERATION....

I got a call from a local area code asking me to call this 866 number back. Heavy foreign accent. The man clamied his name was James Martin. It's so painfully obvious that this is a scam. No government office is going to attempt to make their first contact with you over the phone. They will only do so by certified letter, usually delivered in person by an official from your county or local government.

No need to answer these calls or return these calls. If they need to talk to you, demand that they do so in writing. If they don't have your address, then they obviously don't have anything against you which would hold up in court.

A woman named Paris called saying she was with GDS Solutions from  a 702-660-8580 number for my husband and then tells me to have him call back because I would not give her his Social. I said I am not giving some random person his information over the phone. She then gave me a file number and told me to have him call 1-866-364-0353. I told her she needed to give me the information. She said he had a payday loan out. First my husband has never had a payday loan. When I ask what the name of the company was that the loan was with she said I can't tell you that. So I told her I am not paying something that we never had and you cant give me information on. She then said they were going to sue us and garnish his wages and told me we better get a good lawyer we are going to need it and hung up in my face. I called the 1-866-364-0353 number it said it is no longer in service. So I then called the 702-660-8580 number and asked them for the professional license number and the said they cant give me that I said why you don't have one because you are fraud they hung up. I called back and said you are calling me making threats you should have this information for the people you want money from She said I dont have that information and hung up. Point is the is a scam don't give them any information and tell them not to call you to contact you by mail.

This is just another incarnation of the  old Global Solutions scam.  Most likely a Caribbean group. .  They all say the same thing when you ask them where they are:  They say:  "We have  48 different locations but we are based in Miami" .   Right.  Flashing red light of debt collection scam.  Ignore and block these calls.

keep getting calls from a local number 801-893-9376, foreign accent keeps leaving messages that they have allegations pending against me. The one time I did answer the call, they asked me to verify my social, when I refused, and then asked them for their business information, as I wanted to check them out before answering any questions, the lady got irate yelling " We will just see you in court"  I am seeing this company showing up on all kinds of website including the BBB as a scam.

Same thing as everyone else.  Strong accent, Tanya Black I believe her name was, she was my "agent handling my case" and obviously reading from a script.  Said I banked with Chase, I said I've never had a Chase account.  Then she wanted to verify where I worked, when I asked why she needed that she got flustered and said she'll see me in court.  I said mail me information and she would just talk over me.  She ended with, "We'll see you in court" and I just laughed.  BIG scam. I will report the number and if they call, again I will let them know I'm reporting them.   What a scam...don't ever give money to people over the phone.
