They have called multiple times, and finally I got a person on the line when I answered. The guy had a very heavy accent and I could not understand a word he was saying. I hung up and called back. The company name is Allied Interstate and they are debt collectors. I was put on hold, and after 20 or so minutes I hung up.

Called and did not speak. I called number back to find out who it was and the man was extremely rude and refused to give me any information without me giving him my phone number. Apparently the company is called Allied Interstate ( I found this out after calling back several times to hear how they answered.

I saw the number and didn't recognize it so I didn't answer. An automated female teller left a voicemail stating that it was Allied Interstate and they were calling in regards to a debt. I don't have any debts so needless to say I won't be calling them back. To everyone else, I would be wary about this caller based on the other responses above. I regret that my voicemail contains my first and last name.

I just got the call too!!!  There was nobody on the other end, even after two minutes of sitting there saying "hello".  The caller ID did show up as Allied Interstate, but I didn't know what it was.  I then "Googled" the phone number and was directed to this site.  I, too, don't have any debts, so thanks for the information guys!!!

I had receied several calls from this number and all were answered by my office answering machine.  They have been calling a number that I have had for my business for 3 years and it seems they are after the guy who used to have this number.  I called them back and told them to quit calling my business and they say they will remove my number.

Called them back, and all they wanted was for me to furnish them with information about myself. I refused, and told the [***] heads to go f**k themselves..........

They called my cell phone and I got an automated recording saying that I owe a debt. If this were a legitimate company, I think they would have had an actual person making the call, not a recording.

The gentlemen that called me was namedMathew Potter and he spoke with a thick
accentand to me tha I need to pay the amount of $31.09 to BMG music for the CD'S I owe on.  I told him I didn't get the items so I'm not paying....he then said when you pay this amopunt then you will get your CD'S.  I told him to forget it I don't want the CD"S and not to call me again
about this matter.  He would take no for an answer so I hung  up on him.

I also received a call from this number.  I called them back and the heavily accented man asked for my phone number...I naively gave it to them when they informed me that I had an outstanding balance with BMG music for some CD's I ordered.  I explained to them I had never ordered CD's from them.  He argued with me and then told me if I was to pay 29.99 with my credit card that it would be taken care of.  I told him I would call BMG myself and straighten this out, he told me I couldn't do that, just to give him my thirty dollars and not worry about it.  I told him no, I was not going to pay for something I did not owe and he hung up on me.  BEWARE!!!!!

I have been getting calls from them repeatedly on my cell phone.  I don't pick up numnbers I don't know so I finally googled the number and came to this site.  From the messages, it almost sounds like everyone is talking to the same guy!  Is this a one-man operation or something?  Have they appeared on anyone's credit report?  I'm going to continue to avoid their calls.  Sounds like they are jerky scammers.  Besides, if the debts were valid, wouldn't they also contact everyone by mail, instead of just by phone?!

Send that frustration = BACK . Call them in the morning ( when their starting their day )and tell them " I can't believe how uneducated you are . You people are really stupid . If you haven't gotten it your not going to get it . Especially after you keep calling so much . You know they have taught monkeys to operate and communicate  over the phones . Get a real job ." You know people can only tolerate being called stupid so much . Then call them at the end of the day and say the same thing . So they end their day with your words working on their morals . Be sure and always say " I'm returning your call " at first. Then the authorites can't get you for harassment . They will  even tell THEM  = Don't call them , write them and they won't call you .

I have received a call from this company EVERY morning at or around 8am.  My husband finally answered one morning after getting tired of being woke up day after day after day.  He naively gave them my cell number. After he asked them to stop calling him, they started calling me.  When I tried to call them back, every time someone with a foriegn sounding accent answered and I never could get a straight answer from them.

By law, they are required to send you a letter advising you that you owe a debt.  If  you send them a letter stating the words CEASE AND DESIST, they must do exactly that.  They are no longer allowed to contact you after they have received your letter.

Be advised that they have tools to find you. It is called skip tracing and they can find you simply from your ssn or even by searching by name.

We got a call from these people also claiming they were a collection agency hired to collect a debt for Columbia House Videos.  We have never purchased anything from Columbia House and don't have any debt so they can't be collecting a legitimate debt.  Next time the heavily accented guy calls I'm going to explain to him that I'm a fraud investigator for a large bank and would be glad to get any information about his company that he is willing to provide.  True too.

I received a message tonight at 7pm CST from Allied Debt. The number on the Caller ID was from a Cell Phone 561-866-8506. The number I was to call back was 866-235-0053. I tried the cell number first and it was a "non-working cellular unmber". When I called the 866 number I got a guy with an accent named Kevin Brown. He told me I owed $50.56. I told him I never ordered anything and he got rude. He said that they sent me a letter about 7 months ago and that this was the last opportunity before it goes to "collection" and on my credit report. I ended up hanging up on him. My question is did any of you get a hit on your credit report after talking to one of these guys?
