They knew my name. I said I couldn't hear them very well and they hang up on me.

Received a call from them, but I rejected it. The voicemail was feedback with murmuring, nothing in the message could be distinguished.

they called me and then kept calling me and not speaking or saying a word. #$%$ THEM

I answered today; it is CIBC trying to peddle credit cards

Gotten several calls.  I've been informed that IT IS A SCAM!.  If you "Press 3 to stop receiving offers" or whatever the option is, which everyone would naturally press, somehow it links your phone to theirs, and they can make long distance calls on your dime.

JUST HANG UP!

they have been calling me every single day, sometimes several time, over about the past 2 weeks. i never pick up, they never leave a message. i called the number from a different phone, a message plays saying "please provide your phone number so that we can access your file to better assist you" or some garbage along those lines, and someone came onto the line seconds later saying "HELLO??" in an obnoxious voice. not interested...

they have been calling me every single day, at least three times a day!  i don't pick up and they don't leave a message.  getting pretty sick of it... any ideas on how to stop this??

I have the same problem...I have been getting multiple calls from this number everyday. The only message I get is background noise. I haven't answered a call from this number yet, buy I'm getting tempted to.

Same thing here.  Up to 9 or 10 calls a day over the last week.  It's always the same recording of background office type noise.  This has been going on for a week for me.  How about everyone else?

I got 10 calls today but I didn't pick up.  So annoying!!

Finally picked up and it was indeed CIBC.  I refused to talk to him about his product and just said not to call me again.  I also went to the aeroplan  site and saw that when i signed up with them, they had opted me in to marketing from their partners, who include CIBC.  I opted myself out of them and haven't gotten a call since.  Not sure if it's because i told the guy on the phone not to call, or if its because of the change I did with aeroplan

I got 2 phone calls today. I feel so strange how do they know my name?
I think we should call the police, somebody is infringing our private.

Received a phone call from this number today as well. No one was on the other line. I said "hello" three times, then hung up. I've recently signed up for aeroplan as well....

Got a few rude calls already. Also signed to aeroplan. Still think it's a scam. As dumb as telemarketers or CIBC reps could be, something doesn't add up.

I am receiving approximately 6-8 calls a day consistently for weeks.  Have not and will not answer, yet it continues.  Is there any way to block this number? I will cancel my aeroplan to see if this stops.  I will also email CIBC.

I read the above posts and decided to change the listing of my home phone number on my aeroplan card to AEROPLANs' phone number.  The calls seem to have stopped!  The number I used was from the back of the card: 514-395-0300.

Have received a few calls, don't answer and they don't leave a message. Also recently signed up for Aeroplan. But I know that I opted out of their partner marketing. They've infringed on something.

telemarketer calls several times a week without leaving any voice messages.
I ended up updating my profile in aeroplan.com with an old tel# that's now a fax no#, just in case the opt out option under privacy doesn't kick in the next day!

calls come daily from this number, i dont answer. i would be very careful what information i give out - sounds like a scam to me. If it is indeed a bank, then this is super annoying and should be illegal. I mean how very dare they?!
Hey, and another thing - isnt it weird that a website exists to report numbers you have been called from? Is there a possible way for our ISP address to be gleaned this way and used against us somehow?
