Keep calling for my son who does not reside with us, and says he is investigator, not credit card debt.

Here's another report on 866-367-3051.  This time from an "Investigator Clark." He called hoping to find a relative with the same last name. Clark wasn't obnoxious at all, but does seek to use the "Investigator" label to intimidate and sound like he's with some governmental agency, until you ask where he's from. Then he immediately came clean and admited to being a type of collection agency. He also tried the intimidation tactic of saying he's investigating a "stolen vehicle," when the relative is likely just late with some payments.

I got a call from 866-367-3051 as well. I think they are looking for family because before that I got a call from someone that said they were "representing" Ford Motor Co. I imagine it is for late payments as well. I called the number and got voicemail. Did not leave a message.

I also just got a voice mail from a man leaving his name and saying he was with the "General Investigation" unit" and that it was "very important and a urgent matter" that I call back immediately. (866) 367-3051.

When I called back I immediately knew it was not an official matter.  He asked for the name of man I do not know nor recognized. This, of course made me extremely annoyed and I asked what his company was. He said "General Investiagtion". I asked again what the name of the company was and what WORK this company conducted. He repeated the same company name and said "I'm hired to find people". He said he guessed the person he was looking for had my number in the past...

a SUSPICIOUS call and EXTREMELY annoying.

P.S. This call was not invited nor warranted.  I am pretty angry this person  called a private number under the guise of "official urgent matters" and was instead looking for person I've never heard of.  

Can I report this to better business bureau??

This firm is illegally posing as a governmental agency.  Investigator Brian Williams called my sister posing as an investigator for a government entity and implied he was a peace officer and was very aggressive in trying to get information from her regarding Ford Motor Credit and my account.  It's my understanding from my lawyers that this act is totally illegal and should be reported to the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission for violation.  Collection agencies are not ALLOWED to pose as a governmental agency and or a peace officer for the purpose of collection of a debit.  PLEASE REPORT THIS FIRM TO ALL AGENCIES FOR A COMPLAINT FOR VIOLATION.

I got a text message from this # today stating that my "JP Morgan Debit Card was deactivated." I don't even have one...but I just changed my phone number, and I guess I'll have a few weird calls.

they tapped into my phone came up with a name in my phone book...i answered....it was not the person in my phone book....this is a violation of my private rights..dont even know the person they are looking for....this is completely wrong.  any suggestions on what i can do....besides change my cell phone i've had for 15 years? 866-367-3051

Chase Auto Finance, asking for me to return a car I was late on paying, by like a year.

I received a call, from a Mr. Marcelly. Stating he was with General Investigations. Inqiuring about my dead wifes car. This guy stated he would call the police and report the car stolen and he would charge me with a Class B felony. the sad part about this are I am not I do not have the car, since my wife and I separated, back in 2008. He also kept saying Oh so this is how we going to do this.

Been receiving calls from 000-000-0000 number for a few weeks.  Usually don't answer, but he called particularly early and I just grabbed it.  He said he was Brian Williams from General Investigations seeking info about a "relative". Said he worked for a company that was hired by another company to find people and that I used to share a common address with "relative." Said it was regarding "personal business."

Brian Williams works for a collection agency. He gives a false identity when leaving a message stating he is a private investigator. Ask you to call him back at 818-754-9589 or his 'partner' Mike Yancy at 281-990-5939. Ignore his calls.

I received a email and call from a Brian Williams stating he is a private investigator for a car lease I don't have. The car was taken by my nephew and was suppose to take it back. What do I do in this situation ? Will they still come after me if the never get the car back ? Is this guy really a PI
