Called, no message left. Called back and it was Comcast calling about a promotion in my area. Pressed 2 to put on the Do Not call list

Called. I didnt answer. They didn't leave a message. Googled it and got here.

Unwanted solicitor

Also got a call with no message left from this number. search led me here. I am going to finally change internet providers. Contemplated this for a few weeks now as I have another option in my area and the timing is right.

Rcvd call but did not answer.   Called back, and as already stated by others, it's Comcast with a special offer.  I pressed "2" to get on their do-not-call list.  We'll see how that works out for me...

I got the call with no msg left also. I'd just warn though about calling back and pressing "2". In the past I've gotten calls from "comcast" but it's often a reseller, often without Comcast knowledge. When you press "2" you are acknowledging that you have an active phone number which might get sold to other telemarketers. Call your local Comcast and have them put you on local and national Comcast dnc get the person's name you speak to, and then if you get more calls, you have recourse. If it's someone impersonating Comcast, it's up to Comcast to correct that so they are still on the hook.

It's really hard to tell if it's legitimate because the 'real' Comcast calls are often so weird that I'm expecting Beastie Boys to chime in :)

*HOWEVER*  also recd txt frm 8663675506 'dated' 6/9/14 @ 13:53saying "im in class" -
never showed up tho until today 6/11. i look@my phone multi-times/day.
would have noticed it immediately.
tried 'stop' reply msg.  sent but no response.not even an err.
so i dont know if it worked.  adding # to REJECT/SPAM list tho.
no news is good news hopefully. fingers crossed.
