Stupid fax scam!  Wasting my paper!!  Can't even unsubscribe to the number 800-294-3171..."we're sorry, all circuits are busy".

Fax scam - business loans

I got a fax from them with BBB at the bottom and no company name or phone number to search BBB's site, so it's obviously a scam. I tried to unsubscribe with the same result as the other person in this post at 800-294-3171 without success. I got a recording saying, "We're sorry, your call cannot be completed at this time. Please hang up and try your call again later. Thank you". So I tried to fax to the number they want you to send personal information to (866-367-6908) requesting they remove my fax number, and that fax didn't go through due to poor line condition so it's obvious they are not a lending company as they claim. I'm not sure what they are gaining from this and I agree that it's a huge waste of paper as well as time. Maybe it's a phishing scam using their own voicemail saying the quote above, and that way they gain valid phone numbers to sell. I think people shouldn't call or fax anyone back who solicits via fax. You know they're not doing it without gain and this is my speculation as to what their gain might be.

I googled the unsubscribe number and got Wildwoods Incorporated in Williston FL.

My church gets this junk all the time. I wonder if anyone actually falls for this. Does not even have the name of the business on it.
