No idea who it is but they keep calling and hanging up

I have received over 20+ calls in the last few weeks from the (866)375-2992 number.  Anyone know to what company or person this number is registered?

It has been a few months that this has been popping up on by phone. I dont answer it any more. I did answer two times and they said that it was a call through my american express. And that they would give me a Wallmart card for answering their questions. I told them both times that i was not interested and to remove my number from their list. This still has not happened. they are still calling.  How does this stop ?

Recieving several calls per day. Attempted to call back and recieve busy signal.

Got a call from 1-866-375-2992 just now.  Operator was aggressive and rude at the end when I told him to put me on the DO NOT CALL list.  Added the number to my address book as WAL-MART DO NOT CALL so I can simply ignore next time.

Receiving many calls from this number, routinely do not answer 800 number calls that I don't recognize. The caller seems to know my name as a voice on the recorder tries to connect!

I got a call from this number 1-866-375-2992. I wasn't paying attention to the call. I just heard the part where they were sending me a $50 Walmart for just looking over some information. It wasn't until after I got off the phone that I realized it was a scam. A scam people! I called my bank immediately and told them I plan to file a dispute when the charges come in and called Walmart to see if they are giving out $50 Wal Mart cards. Wal Mart said it was a scam as well. I feel so stupid! To put salt on the wound, we will probably never know who this company is.

Same thing here, I get the call they hang up and if I try to call back it's busy! I wish they picked up so I can say a lot!

This is a very legit company. I recieved my gifts and was given was able to try out these realy cool programs. All I had to do was call and cancel the programs when I finished checkin'em out. Its like gettin something for free for just goin thru my junkmail.

It's not "legit." Obviously you work for the jerks who run this scam outfit. Not buying it!

I get calls from these jerks several times a day. They hang up as soon as i answer. Why do they keep calling? i want to punch there faces.

Hang-up calls from this #Our calls started we order our 1st book from an inmercial Kevin Trudeau's Debt Cures. A week later we got many calls from from many #'s offering $100.00 Walmart, etc. coupons for $9.95. They said they were with Visa Rewards. Not true I called called Visa Rewards Post PTS. On your accT. No phone calls to members. They will not give you a bank name. This one informercial changes 800 numbers and TV stations every 3 mos. I call all stations showing this informercial. They even give you your Visa #-very intimidating. I refused to to give my phone # when I placed order. It is obvious this # uses a descrambler to steal my unlisted phone#. The calls donot stop after you request to be put on their do no call list. They are from 8 different states. All started with 1-800-790-9285 informercial order #. It appears after reading over 800 complaints on all #'s they are connected by informercials and call centers. Please report to your TV stations-State Attorneys Generals and Better Business Bureaus. It is a total harassing scam. They change #'s so fast it is hard to detect the origin. This was my 1 and only order from an infomercial and will be my last. Suspect they all run by the same criminals=

I tracked them down. The comapny Platinum can be reached at 866-491-3930. Tell them to put you on their 'Do Not Call' List. They have to stop calling you within 30 days of telling them.

First step is to go to the BBB website at:
https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/getstarted.aspx?siteID=113 and file a complaint. You can search for Platinum 1 Marketing Group in Florida. Match the address with the one above in Largo. File the complaint.

Next step is to file a complaint with the Do Not Call registry:

Last thing you could do is file a complaint with your states attorney generals office.

Constant calls

annoying calls at all hours. They say nothing and no point in trying to call them back - it's always busy.

the # bill put up doesnt work anymore. I went to JAG to start a suit. They have called 4 tims this week before 5am. Once I get the info on the company I'll post it. caller type unknown they never say anything just hang up.

Yep, same here, keep calling and hanging up, even if I answer.

I got the call but didn't answer since I don't know who they are.  Thanks for the tips.

I followed Bill's tip from Dec 29 and called Platinum at 866-491-3930.  Jaimie from Platinum answered the phone.  I told her I'd like to be removed from Platinum's calling list.  She said OK, it would take up to 72 hours for this to be done.    We'll see what happens.
