Wonder what business owns this number.

My phone had this number show up on caller id.  The message left gave "hours of operation" They call us two hours before their supposedly "hours of operation".  Sound like some kind of scam operation

Hey, it is all out of country people getting you to give credit card info or getting you to cash checks. Learned the hard way almost went to jail over this numbers. Call FBI when they call!!!!!!!!!!!!

this number calls our house at least three times a day.  we don't usually answer it because we don't know who it is but after they call several times we pick it up to tell them to stop calling and then no one is there.  then they call back again and again.  how do we stop this?

they call every day.  if someone knows where to find them let me know so i can hunt them down and unplug their phone.

This is a GE Money services number

It looks like this is probably GE card services, which could be for any store credit card managed by ge card services, or any other loan or finance product on which you make monthly payments.

Specifically it looks like their collections department calling due to late payments.  

So if you have a store card or had something you bought financed, you are probably late and should probably give the company a call before you get into more serious trouble.

Unfortunately the above person is clueless in what they are talking about.  I have called the number and confirmed it is GE card and financial services.

Theses are collections calls due to a late payment on a store card or financing on a product purchase.

These calls do indeed come from overseas, as GE is ultra crappy and cheap, and this division is solely in the business of managing these store cards and financing and the cheaper they can do it for, the more money they put in their pockets, which means very poor service to the end customer

While their can be scams from calls overseas, many companies are now using offshore call centers to save big money (at the cost of  any sort of quality service)  

Having said this, there is no "scam" involved here and I am quite irritated as people crying wolf on calls like this is what causes the real scam calls not to be recognized for what they are.  People that don't know what they are talking about need to keep their mouths shut.
