- ANON| 1 replyBank of America prequalification automated message
- Caller: BANK OF AMERICA
- Call type: Event reminder
- rodney replies to ANONwhatever you do don't fill out a prequal for BANK OF AMERICA. They are hounding me worse than a tele-marketer. If they are going to call me 5 times in a hour and half then at least have somebody on the phone if/when I answer. These auto dialers need to be illegal.
- request to call 888-336-6030| 1 replyWho's these 1-866-376-5525, that orders me to call the 888-336-6063? They better put their muscles on the phone and talk to me directly. why would I bother myself calling them?! Are you serious?
- Caller: Undetermined
- David replies to request to call 888-336-6030I filled out online pre-qualification forms at http://www.bankofamerica.com/loansandhomes/pr ... _-uncategorized, then I got a phone with a caller ID 866-376-5525. I was not at home, and a female voice message left and asked me to call back at 888-376-5525 (NOT 866-376-5525).
I called 888-376-5525, but an automatic message told me to call 1-800-712-5000. I checked online and found a number of reports said they were charged a lot for calling 1-800-712-5000. So, I did not call it.
I also called 866-376-5525, the automatic message told me to call 1-800-220-1500. Then I check online and found this report.
The whole thing is so weird. Why they did not asked me to call 1.866.821.2504 listed on that website? - jillI haven't answered any of the calls from this number, but I did fill out a Bank of America prequal form online. Shoot. They have been calling me multiple times daily!!!
- anonymous001| 1 replyI did received a call today saturday at 11:00 am and yesterday 5 times!!
The fact is that I did not fill out the Bank of America prequal form because I selected the cancel button. - JDI keep getting calls from this number. I did fill out a Bank of America pre-qual form so I assume that is why. What is annoying is now they call and no one responds when I pick up. I wait a second and since nobody responds I hang up. If they are going to use a auto-dialer at least have someone at the ready to respond!!!
- MikeThese [***] won't leave me alone. I also hit cancel before hitting submit but their sneaky system must keep the info even if you don't submit it to them. First week 5 times a day at 12, 3, 6, 7 and 9.... Have answered twice and spent 5 minutes on the phone each time telling them who I am and to stop and they agree, then 3 hours later... 866-376-5525. Even tried writing abuse@bankofamerica and telling them to quit that way. Nothing works and it's been 10 days. Looking for the BBB form now.
- Caller: Bank of America
- Ono| 1 replyI filled out a prequalification form online for Bank of America and then got 6 calls from this number. They seem to have given up on the morning of day 2, which I'm glad about because I'm charged by the call on my cell phone. I wasn't available to answer the phone and they never left me any messages so how am I supposed to know who's calling or why? My voicemail greeting says to please leave a message so I can call back. If it's Bank of America calling they should leave a message or at least send me an email.
- Ono replies to OnoOK, day 4 and I'm still getting called daily by this number. That's $5 I've paid for getting called and no messages. I called the number back and got an automated message that directed me to what is supposedly the Bank of America loan center. When I told them I didn't have my prequalification confirmation number with me they asked for my social security number. I said I wouldn't give that away on the phone (never give your full SSN over the phone!) and they said they couldn't help me. They should be able to confirm with other information like my name, address or phone number. I asked if there is another number I can call. They said this is the number for the Bank of America loan center and asked for my SSN again. There is a different number listed on the prequalification confirmation email and on Bank of America's website: 1.888.293.0264. I don't trust this 866-376-5525 number.
- Louisiana 27July 2009The exact time was 12:53 according to caller id and the name that came up was Tollfree Number. I did not answer my phone because I had a feeling that it was a hoax and I am on the gov't Do Not Call List, not that it does any good, you have to be a member of congress in order to have these fraudulent calls stopped and looked into. When a company hunts you down by telephone a bell should go off in your head and you should say, "No thanks, oh and I am the gov't do not call list so do not call again." Does anyone try to enter the name Bank of America into Google to find out what their real toll free telephone number is?? When you get the banks toll free number, has anyone called the bank and asked for the bank manager to find out if the phone number is their's or if they have authorized people to call and offer what ever it is that they are offering? You are not giving them your real name, address, and phone number are you? First lets address the phone number, how stupid, they just called you so why are they asking that question? Bell 1 ring ring Next they ask for your address? And you give it to them? Wow..you are opening yourself up to fraud and a host of bad things to come. Bell 2 ring ring Next you are giving them your name? You have now given them enough information to search you, commit fraud against you, rob you, and so much more. Where is your head at? Bell 3 ring ring Wake up people, you are not stupid, so don't get stupid on the telephone. Call the Attorney General of your State and report this information, call the actual bank and let them know so they can protect your account(s) and so many others, call the FTC & FCC. Let's put this ring of criminals where they belong...behind bars!!!
- Caller: TOLLFREE NUMBER
- jenI, too, had numerous calls from this number, which is Bank of America. After picking up and having no one answer on the other line, I finally had enough. I called back the number which had an automated Bank of America home loan greeting and immediately pressed "0" to speak with a representative. Once he introduced himself, I got straight to the point and told them to remove my information from their system. I gave them the cell number they kept calling, my name popped up and he apologized for all the inconvenience and took my information out. Hopefully now, the calls will stop.
- CheetahIt's not a coincedence then, because I filled out a pre-qual form with BOA yesterday. Now I'm being called all hours. They will not leave a call back number though.
If they want my business they better leave a message.- Caller: Don't Know
- Raleigh, NCI agree with you, why not leave a message and keep hanging up when no one answers??? If I filled out the form online it is because I wanted someone to call me. Not call me and hang up! I received three of these calls already.
- Caller: Supposedly Bank of America
- Call type: Telemarketer
- JoshI started filling out the prequalification application but I cancelled the form before I completed it and I still get about 6 calls a day from this number. Does anyone know how I stop this?
- Nikki replies to anonymous001I hit cancel too but they KEEP CALLING!!!!
