It's Nationwide Credit - a bill collector for American Express.

They've been calling my residence and they even called one of my in-laws.  Don't know where they got those numbers.   Left a number of 866-381-5531.  Claimed they did not know I was deployed which is why I wasn't answering my phone.  That is a lie, my office manager faxed them a copy of my orders.  Eric Calhoon said that if they'd been able to contact me that they would not have had to call my in-laws.  Where did they get those numbers?  Eric claims it is legal for them to call my family and friends.

I also receive daily calls from this number. It is American Express, because I was a cardholder on my ex-husbands account and I guess he's defaulted and they have my cellphone now. His name was Sean at extension 281036 and said he needed "location information" for me, using my married name.
I love this website, by the way.

They call concerning American Express as someone else mentioned and are extremely bold. Bold enough to contact my father in law at his law office and home. I let them know today that any future calls would be a violation of the FDCPA and mailed a certified letter stating the same. Hopefully, this will back them off.

Person called for "location information" without leaving name or company.  Calls made to my home, cell, and then places even that I shopped.  I don't know how they get these numbers but is it legal for them to do so?

they are calling my work agressively which is jeopardizing my job

called my work and asked several questions about me and the nature of my employment with my company. they have called several times and are beyond aggressive. it's becoming a serious issue for me at my job. the most recent call happened today and she spoke with our receptionist. the caller said her name was lisa lin and that her direct extension was 281090.

called my father in law today, how they got his number is beyond me.  
866-381-5531, an was told he was very pushy.  Callers name was SAM.

Call claiming they need to talk to the owner and that it's a legal matter. Won't give any specfic information. Today Jessica told me that she will be making a decision because she's been trying to reach him since the 4th. It's got to be a scam!!! They are really rude too!

called me at work on one of my husbands accounts

Called my (unlisted) home telephone number at 5:35 p.m. today.  It was totally a recorded message.  When I answered, a recording asked me to "Please hang on the line, as your call is very important to us."  Random music played for about 5 seconds, and then the recorded voice came again, saying only "Goodbye," and then the connection was terminated.

Not only was it one of the odder telemarketing calls I've received - and I'm on the Do Not Call list - but I'm not an AmEx cardholder either.  I have no idea how they received my number, but it's some comfort to know that I'm not the only one they're harrassing.

Person called asking to I'd myself,I ask what it was in regards to and woman would not answer.
