I received a phone call from them today and they said they were from the IRS and the bill collector would be at my door in the next few days for the back taxes that I owe, which I don't.

I got the exact same call about 1 hour ago.  If you wait a bit before hanging up, a message says stay on the line for a survey ?.  I'm sure it's not real. It's always sends a letter first.

Have had 2 calls from this # today claiming to be from the IRS and left a message an agent would be coming to me in the next couple of days. THE IRS ALWAYS SENDS A LETTER FIRST. PLEASE DO NOT fall for this scam. # is now blocked.

Same for me, except they said a lein was going to be put on my account. My bank assured me this was a scam. The irs will send a letter.

Just called and told me there was going to be a freeze on my bank accounts. Lies!!!!

This number called me twice today with a very weird automated message. It was hard to understand but basically it said a warning someone would visit me in the next 24 hours to finish the paperwork.  They said they were from the IRS and something about my bank account and tax fraud.  I called the number back and it is not a working number so I guess I wait to see what happens.

I just got a call from this number. It's a scam. IRS always send a letter first and NEVER sends recording like this one. No worries!!! It's a scam!!!

"ditto" to all all the above comments.   I don't answer my phone and allow my answering machine to pick up.  I received 3 calls,  two yesterday and one today from the same number 800-381-8010.  The actual IRS phone number ends in a 1040 (like the tax form)....It is obvious that they are targeting and preying on the vulnerable to steal social security numbers...I phoned this number and the recording is an American accent stating:  "This is the IRS".   If you need to contact us we are at IRS.gov ( using the IRS real web page) to attempt to convince us that they are the "real deal". and rather than their phone system transferring me, there were numerous busy signals and then I was disconnected....Similar scam happened to me circa 6 months ago....They used a different phone number and their accent, demeanor, persona was very scary". I felt Terrorized! They sounded like ISIS and Hezbollah terrorists.  This time they used an American accent..I personally feel that they originate from some terrorist country who hates us Americans and they want to also obliterate us financially!    GOD Bless America!

Received a call from 866-381-8010 yesterday, it was automated and advised me that all my bank accounts were seized and criminal charges were being pursued against me and that within 24 hrs someone would be at my door. Well I called back and it was a non working number. Nobody should up at my door so I called today and it has an automated menu claiming to be IRS so I chose option 1 and a guy with a heavy accent starts asking me for SSN, DOB etc (which I did not give) then when I questioned him on their authority he flatly hung up on me!

thye been calling me  for a week  now   said the same thing  last time i told them  i reported them  to  the  IRS have  not heard from them again also  if you have  face book   make  sure  you dont have  followers  from Pakistan
