Received phone call on my cell phone from this number looking for my husband.  Calller refused to identify himself but refused to leave a message.  He demanded my husband's phone number.  I talked to him before, as I remembered "Freddie's" voice as someone I had argued with once before.  Freddie works for a bill collector for Alltel Wireless.  My husband defaulted on his contract with them.  On the previous call he had threatened to sue for the money and that my husband would be thrown in jail and have to pay bigtime money to lawyers if he didn't pay the entire amount now.  I offered payments, saying we'll make the first $100 payment right now.  He refused so I told him to go ahead and sue, my husband won't go to court and then will just have to get his paycheck garnished, thereby, paying them in payments regardless.  He told me I "obviously don't know anything about the legal system".  I laughed at him, stating, "It's a phone bill, not a murder!" which he obviously didn't like either, being of obvious foreign descent and me being a woman.  I told him go ahead and sue and he hung up on me.  Freddie is a bonafide idiot trying to make his quota.

Got a call from someone at this number named Angela. She talked over my answering machine's beep so I only got half a message. No company name just really rude saying she had left numerous messages and that I needed to call her IMMEDIATELY! I have no idea what it is about. My bills are current and have no reason for a collection agency to be calling me. Hope she holds her breath.

I think the same girl called me!  It was the same thing--half a message and same content.  If I remember right her name is Angela.  They really need to do a better job keeping track of these people that don't pay their bills.  I'm convinced that all you have to do is move, and you'll never have to pay for anything.

I got a call last Wednesday.  Angela had left an urgent personal message stating to call her back it was an emergency.  I called her back got a gentle man.  He stated they were looking for my sister whom lives in another state.  He got very nasty with me and told me he would keep calling me until his fingers were blue, and stated many profanities and when I asked where he was calling from he said it was no of my f'ing business.  When I asked for a manager he hung up.  I called back I got a women who reacted the same way when I asked for caller information.

I keep getting calls for a some guy at my cell number.  Started last year and just happened.  I too had an urgent message from Angela, I told her I don't know the person and this was not their cell number.  I was curious so I googled the number and found this site.  Now it is play time.  I am going to be the guy they want and jack with them.  It will be worth the air time.

It is ILLEGAL for any debt collector to threaten imprisonment:

    § 807.  False or misleading representations  [15 USC 1692e]

A debt collector may not use any false, deceptive, or misleading representation or means in connection with the collection of any debt. Without limiting the general application of the foregoing, the following conduct is a violation of this section:

    (4) The representation or implication that nonpayment of any debt will result in the arrest or imprisonment of any person or the seizure, garnishment, attachment, or sale of any property or wages of any person unless such action is lawful and the debt collector or creditor intends to take such action.

Stay OFF the phone with these morons and file a complaint with the FDCPA:

Caller named Daisy left a message on my answering machine, indicating she has left several calls and please call this number back, they didn't want to call me at work and bother me there yet.  I called the number back that was left on my answering maching to let them know they are calling the wrong person and was put on hold four times.  The fifth person that came on I told them if I get put on hold one more time I'm hanging up.  The fifth wench flaunted her ignorance, and got snotty with me.  I hung up.  I have no debts that are in collections, never have.  There not willing to be up front and explain themselves, so screw em...I have a delete button on the answering machine.  They really should mind there manners...you get more bees with honey, but you have an attitude and you get hung up on...

Out of curiosity, I called this below number and the collection is for someone I don't know...never did know...and has never lived here nor has he had my phone number in the last 30 years.  I've had it.  He indicated he has removed my number from their list... Yea, right.  That's what they told me six months ago when they were filling my answering machine with this person's collection.

These calls are usually from a valid debt by someone who is either directly involved in the debt or a reference (a friend) of the person owing the debt. However, these collection agencies like to make 'empty' threats in an attempt to collect. If you offer to pay them by mail they like saying things like: "We can settle the amount for less if you pay by postdated check over the phone." It's illegal for any business to request a postdated check for any debt... Of course, these debt collectors earn minimum wage and likely do not know the law. If you offer to pay them an amount of even one dollar, they MUST accept it, BY LAW! If they refuse, you can consider the debt paid in full, legally, and have it removed from your credit record.

    Another citizen being harrassed......
by this same phone #.  Strange to say, every pm I get home - this # is on my caller ID and "a male" is leaving a messages on my machine. #1- they don't even know if they have the right phone # and #2- they are asking for some "Mohammad" person.  Why would you leave personal info on someone's machine not knowing if its the right person.  Hopefully- if I don't answer, the would get the picture.

I keep seeing this number show up on my cell phone.  Once they left a partial message which I couldn't make out who or what it was about and since it was my cell phone, I wasn't going to waste my minutes.  Finally frustrated at the many calls, I called them back asking who it was.  The man who answered wouldn't cooperate at first and kept asking me for my phone number (which I didn't give him).  I did finally get information that it was a company called OCS which according to him was a financial company and was not an abbreviation for anything.  He hung up on me shortly thereafter.

This time, it was someone named 'Bobby Williams', Extension 317, calling for our son.  We've gotten calls thru the '919-959-9001' line, when callers use the 'unknown caller' route.  He gave the number, 1-866-385-0908, ext.317 this time (10/15/07) 6:55PM.  We've been getting them continuously; I just got curious, and the caller gave this information.

Same girl called me - left a message, said her name was Angela, stating she had 'left numerous messages' and needed me to get in touch with her as soon as possible.  We also have cell phones with AllTell, but our account is currrent.  I never call back or deal with people who (a) won't tell me what company they are with or their exact reason for calling, or (b) are being rude and unreasonable.  I suspect this might be a scam.  Check their credentials, and DON"T give them any info or money!

Got a message a week or so ago from Angela stating she had left message after message and she demanded that I call her by 5 P.M.that day well I came in this week no message but the number appeared so I guess she's still waiting :) guess she'll be waiting for a long time I do not deal with collection jokers if they threaten you with jail they are in violation of the law and if they threaten to sue you and do not go through with it then they have violated the law also.

This is OCS - which stands for Omni Credit Services of Florida, Inc. PO Box 23381 Tampa, FL 33623. Another # listed is (800) 670-9944. They are a debt collector with what sounds to be illegal and shady practices...aren't they all.

12Mar.09-rec'd. a call from a most obnoxious woman demanding to speak to one of my relatives who is not,and never has been at my adress or phone #.
When I asked what this was in reference to,I was rudely told"just take down this number and have her call me".I asked again the nature of her business and was told"This is ocs, and that's all I can tell you".I then asked for some company info that I could forward to the State Atty's. office, and the phone went dead in a heartbeat. Imagine that!!
Don't let these types of scammers get over on you!
