This is a fraud pretending to serve papers, then call to stop civil suit to settle debt collection.

I got a call from these guys asking if i was going to be home to receive documents. I ignored it then was served at work!! Went to court and now have a judgement on my credit or name!!! These guys are debt collectors cause now I have to deal with a Judgement recovery !!!!!

I called their bluff and I had to pay way more in court.... I had to pay attorney fees and it was not fun....

I also recieved a call from these people at my house at first, I ignored it, then somehow they got my work number. I also didnt call back again. I reported them to the Attorney General's office the same day for harrasment. 3 days later, I get an embarrasing moment. In front of all my peers I recieved my summons to appear in court. I went to court, and tried fighting it. Long story short is I lost the case, now they are asking for more then I had originally owed because of attorney fees and court costs they supposedly incurred. The process and time isnt worth it, if I wasnt so hard headed and prideful, I would have resolved the issue before it got to this point. Headaches are not fun.

Each of the other responses sounds like someone from NRG trying to scare people into believing they should just do whatever NRG says.

It may however be true, that in the end, you might get a judgment against you.  So you might need to do better research and maybe even talk to a lawyer.

BUT, the above responses sound soooo fishy and transparent.
