This is the number of a fraudulent collections agency called groupe solution collect located at 309-560 Henri-Bourassa, Montreal, qc. H3L 1P4.

They are a scamming ppl for money by pretending they are collecting bad debts. They are using the cedar financial name which leads me to believe that they are the same scammers. Just have changed their company name due to all the rip off reports cedar received.

this number called me and left a message with the persons name, number and a ref number, but no information regarding why they were calling and who they were.  When i called the number back, the phone system identified the company as "Group Services Collect".

I googled them and did not find any companies with this name, and when I googled the number, I found this site indicating they are scammers.

I will absolutely be putting in a complaint about the manner in which I was spoken to.  Not only was she was rude, unclear with instruction, bullying and threatening, but she hung up on me when I expressed my discomfort in disclosing my monthly bills to her and that I was not going to borrow from my friends and family (on her suggestion and then asked repeatedly "why not?" when I said I wouldn't do such thing).  At that point, she said she was through talking to me, to which I said, "there's no need for you to be rude to me - I'm trying to make arrangements with you but need more information".  She again said she was done talking to me.  I took a deep breath (so not to lose my temper) and said "I'm not done talking to you so please do not hang up on me", she said "Well I am" ... and she DID!  The nerve!  When I immediatelly called her back, she answered and put me directly on hold ... for 5 minutes .. returned to the call and said "Yes Mrs x" -- she KNEW it was me and decidedly made me wait -- as if MY time isn't as valuable as hers.  I will not be treated this way.  This will NOT go undealt with.  Treating someone with disrespect and making them feel undignified for missing a payment is simply not right.  They'll be hearing from me and I WILL get an apology.

I just had a call from a Company Called Groupe Solutions on Henri-Bourassa Way 1888531104. Is this the same company? I am tying to lean as much as I can about them. I have never been lied to and treated the way  from anyone in my life regarding a Bell Bill that I was dealing with Bell only a few days before. Her mane was Olympyia. At no time would she alow me to speak with a manager and threatened to report be to the credit bureau of Canada. How can they treat people this way and get away with it. I always pay my bill and this was an issue between myself and Bell not his dragon. Reasearching everything now and will complain to Bell Canada plus I recoreded every word she said to my and it will be going on UTube.

This company is a scam, they are now based in Quebec City and lead by ghosts called Johnny Fournier and Guy Payeur (oh my god...). Cette compagnie est un scam. Major scamming company, they say I owe them something, never had any debt in my life, I hung up on them, they keep harassing me like crazy. Owner of this company is a guy called Ghislain Rheaume, ghislain.rheaume@groupesc.com and Andre Pitoscia andre.pitoscia@groupesc.com and Johnny Fournier. They have changed names very often and some of their staff have been accused via another company of harassement. This company operates under permit 400370 of consumer advocate groupe and is scheduled for renewal in March 2012.
My understanding is that they purchase a bunch of debt listings that are very old and try to recover them under their own name.

This company is also reprensented by Dussault Larochelle Gervais Thivierge... HAHAHA because lawyers can't say no to scam money !

I am putting up these names to hsow the lack of shame for these huissiers and lawyers to work with this company who harrasses people.

I also hope that gouvernement agencies and bid suppliers will do their proper due diligence when they accept a bid from Solution Collect on SEAO or Merx or Bindingo.

We got a call from this number asking for a family member that has never lived with us or has had our phone number.  They said it was about an estate...as this family member has recently passed away in April.  They said their name was Tristan.  They also provided a reference number and an extention number.  We called back this evening and left a very umm kind message for Mr.  Tristan.  I don't think we will be hearing from him again...or we will report this to the police.

This company tries to collect debt illegally. Not only is it a scam, but it is fraud.  Write them a cease and desist letter.  Did you know that you can hold the person trying to collect for them PERSONALLY responsible for their participation in the collection of an illegal debt - You can.  Write them a cease and desist letter and report them to the credit companies as well as the police.

i called the main number for groupe solution collect 1-888-531- 1074 the number for 18663905378 is in qubec they say same offices just different stations im dealing with them now and making payment plans with them hope to god this isnt fraud !!

i can assure you all this is not fraud i went to my bank and had a investagation done and its all legit!

Yes, a debt collection company by that name exists in Canada.
However,
* Was the phone call REALLY from them?
* Did the called people really owe a debt to them?
* Is there not a Canadian law that states debtors must be notified by snailmail?

If a collection agency like Tristan, Suzanne or Olympia etc is harrassing you:

Tell them to stop contacting you as it is criminal harassment.

If they make one more call do not be afraid to contact the police and your phone company.

Report them to your provincial Corporate and Consumers Affairs office in Ontario or OPC in Quebec.
This will place their licence at risk for sure.

If you get a letter purporting to be from a Collection Agency's law firm or lawyer, complain to their law society about harassment by that lawyer.

You do not have to speak to anyone from a collection agency or deal with them if you choose not to.This is crucial!

When they phone do not speak to them. Get the person's name, phone number and company name then hang up without saying another word.

When they call back (and they will call and call) log the calls, but just continue to hang up without speaking to them.

Do not tell them where or if you work.

Do not tell them where your bank is.

Do not discuss your finances with them.

If you do make any payments to them, get a postal money order so they do not learn where your bank account is.

Do not tell them anything at all.

That is some bad advice.
You have some valid and correct points and the rest are incorrect.
This is how a lot of people get grossly misinformed.

Well what are the valid points and which ones ae incorrect? Why did you not specify? Do you work for this collection agency?

These people have been calling our landline for the last week, The # on our call display shows 000-ooo-oooo or Unknown and Unavailable. The msg., when one is left, is a robo voice in rapid fire French saying to call Groupe Collection and a toll free #. They never indicate with whom they wish to speak. I have never had a loan or credit card and my husband is the type who pays his bills as soon as they are due.  This is getting on my nerves.

Vous vous attendiez a quoi?   Un papyrus??   Il y a un numero de permis de l'OPC j'ai validé et cette agence est reconnue et 100% légale.
