A vague scare tactic message designed to panic a victim into calling back.

Most debt collectors will use a certain amount of pressure to convince you to pay the debt. After all, they often don't get paid unless you pay. Be suspicious of a debt collector who uses an unusual amount of pressure to get you to pay immediately, particularly if they also use scare tactics to get you to pay right away. For example, a debt collector is scamming you if it :

• threatens you with a lawsuit and tells that you can avoid the lawsuit by paying right away
• Says a Process Server  or Courier is coming with papers to sign
• Threatens to call / go to your place of employment
• Insists you have been notified, served or are non-compliant via phone message(s)
• Refuses to give a company name or verifiable Contact source
• Refuses to send proof of debt via US mail

A sure sign of a debt collection scam is a collector that wants to you to pay via wire transfer or another method that can't be traced. If the payment method can't be traced, you'll have a harder time getting the authorities involved.

If the creditor sounds completely foreign, or you know you never had an account with that business, there's a chance it's a scam. Never pay a collection you don't recognize. You have the right to request written proof of the debt from the debt collector before you send payment.

They keep calling my phone and asking for the last owner of the number. I get these calls daily from other numbers and always some type of scam. Anyways if you Google Excel Recovery Solutions they aren't even open anymore. There is a place similar but they're a rehab place not debt collector.

The callback number left was 866-390-7365, with the message quoted at the top of this page.
But the incoming call number was 888-614-5628

They keep calling my number.  The next time they call, I am going to answer with "Sheriff's Department, Fraud Division."

They keep calling regarding my brother. He passed away in 2017.

Exact message as stated.....

They keep calling my office phone number, with a garbled inserted name that bears no resemblance to my own or a previous employee's name. I have received 4+ calls in the last month with the above message.

They have been calling my mother for 2 months! I am 45 and never even lived with my mother.

Same experience as everyone else claiming they are from Excel Recovery Solutions, looking for my husband and that it's an urgent matter etc. I'm glad I checked further online to see they are a fraud.

I'm getting the exact same message as well.  According to the BBB they are out of business.

Me too constant calls threatening me with court called me back three times

These people have been calling me for months! Even called my parents! They are harassing me and I want it to stop! How do these bottom feeders get away with this?!

I keep getting the same phone calls as everyone else and they also keep calling all my family members. This needs to stop

They continue to leave the same exact message for me. In fact it's daily, if not more. However, they continue to call me on my JUNK email phone number. If they don't have the correct information regarding myself, no way will I return the call.

I get a prerecorded call every week from Excel Recovery Solutions, from someone named Michelle Rosario, calling for my mother,  who is 73 and doesn't live with me. Wtf? They call from different numbers, which I keep blocking, but then they use a different one. This last time they called from 866-672-8414. Just so they know,  I'm not a sucker, and they aren't going to get sh#t.
