    Harrassed Homeowner!
DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH CHASE MORTGAGE!!!  Pure harrassment, calls my office and instead of leaving me a message goes to all the extensions through our telecom system and when he talkes to someone asks them to give me the message telling each of them that he hasn't been able to get ahold of me and has been trying for weeks (lie) - broadcasting to the office that I am having financial challenges.  He left a message with our help desk, with our service desk, with HR.... Very disrespectful!  He hasn't called my neighbors yet but I am sure that is next.... calling my office the way that he is should be illegal.  I don't do personal business during the day, he should be calling me at home at night or on the weekend, and I don't mean at 6am just because they are east coast when I live on the west coast!  Did I mention I am only 30 days late and yet am being harrassed at work?

When I call, I get an automated system that says "Welcome to Chase".  When I finally talk to the person who left the message (x19577 Laurie) she asksfor a loan number.  I don't even have a loan with Chase.  I do have one with Bear Stearns so I think maybe this is ligit.  I give her my loan number but she can't find it in her system so they ask for address, SSN to look up the loan.  I told them that I wasn't going to give them my complete social but I would give them the last 4 digits and that they should have more than enough info to find my loan.  I suspect it is an identity theft scam to steal info so I went to Chase's website to get the customer service number and when I called them, they said that this number 866 395-4760 is not in their system.

If you weren't late they wouldnt call you, You must have been past due several times or have a high risk loan (meaning bad credit). And how much do you owe them? Look at your balance if someone owed you that much money wouldn't you call them if you didnt get a payment for 30+ days and had not heard from them for several weeks??????
    Just something to think about.
Oh wait its always the big bad banks fault!! Not the past due customer!

i'm guessing that you just got laid off from a mortgage company? Ex-employees always blame the cusotmer. Blame the big-wigs of the mortgage company. Instead of helping (like loan modification, they rather receive their BIG Bonus and let HUD figure out the problem for them. BooHoo, get a life and support those who needs help. Provide assistance, not your BS attitude.

What a rude bunch they are. I have never been late on a payment(since 2001). Never had call from my old mortgage company, always payed by the 15th of the month. Chase just bought my mortgage and called asking why I was late, not paid on the first, asked if I had a job, just rude. They said if I don't pay on the first they will keep calling.....

just plain mad replies to They just bought my mortgage
Chase bought our mortgage from Citi, Citi did modify our mortgage but Chase isn't. They making us pay more, one person calls says they need 1700 so we could catch up then call Friday evening and change it 2000 by Monday. Have not receive anything in the mail regarding that. (Very fishy) Someone should investigate Chase.

Why would I defend a morg company that laid me off, that makes no sense. Your one of the booohooo customers that gave bad info on the app and said they make more than they really do. I'm not feeding you BS, Im feeding you the truth and the truth always hurts more. And further more HUD doesnt do any for the Morg company, Chase started doing mod's prior to all the issues that arrised and before the government stepped in. I would look at all the other banks that refused to get on board with the government. Get a Life and do some research before you open your mouth.

Chase continues to call us and harrass us.  We have authorized our realtor to talk to them about completing a short sale.  They have agreed to the short sale, however call us several times a day, demanding payment.  This is all after we received a loan modification in Sept 2007.  They received all of our income info and my info on my husbands overtime pay.  We even had his company write a letter stating his overtime was NOT guaranteed or stable, yet because it was on the last 2 months of pay stubs/ bank statments.. they still took that high amount of income into their consideration for our ability to pay!! Shortly after the mod was completed his overtime was completely cut. therefore, we were still stuck w a payment we could not afford.  They completed the loan mod paperwork with out consulting us.

Chase did NOT start doing loan mod's prior to the economic down turn.  We contacted them 3-4 times per month after our ARM was raising and we could not afford the payment.  They REFUSED each and everytime to help us.  We did not give any bad info on our app and we could afford our payments until the ARM went up.

It is actually legal to call your neighbors and leave a message for you... It's called Skip Tracing and most collection companies and departments within companies use skip tracing to locate debtors.  They try more non-intrusive methods first, but when those fail.. they contact neighbors, relatives, etc...

I totally agree with you ,  I had a modification due to cuts & a special needs Son w/high meds costs if insurance does not pay, after the loan mod - and they lost my paperwork twice - upon the modification and hoping that my home as a single parent and no child support - Chase supposedly modified my loan to a lower amount?  The amount is $100.00 higher (not including insur & taxes) it went from 702 (orgin loan)  up to 803 (arm) then to 867 (with loan mod)?  where is it they are trying to help my now? they have me at a hgh interest rate that they did not even try to lower - and becuase I had to get behind in my payments for the loam mod - my credit is also not good like it used to be.  They have me @ 10.5 % interest rate and it was alot lower when I 1st bought the house back in 2005 (my loan was sold to chase) Now it's no where the value for what I am having to pay out for it.   Chase is  BS money grabbers

Why wold you assume that someone getting calls from Chase collections department is automatically way past due on a high risk loan (bad credit)? I'm sure that description covers a lot of their calls but the fact is, Chase doesn't care!
They decided that the mortgage they bought on me needed to have an escrow account for property taxes. I never approved the change but my monthly bill went up. OK, no biggie, right? Wrong! Since I didn't know about it, I paid my property taxes too. When I found out about the escrow account, I called my local tax office and was told that Chase's payment was refunded to Chase. But it never showed up in the escrow account. I'm out a few grand and can't get it back! To continue, they claimed the escrow account that they emptied didn't have enough 'reserve' and started taking $100 of my monthly payment and putting it in escrow, then recording me as having insufficient payment for the month. Now they call me to tell me I'm behind (I think I'm a couple grand ahead!) and won't listen about the escrow account. I ask for payment history so I can try to resolve this, they say I have to call customer service for that. So I call customer service, give them my loan number, and they transfer me to collections again!

And on top of all that, they call me almost every day at work even though I've told them not too, and it's illegal for them to continue but they do it anyway. They also tell me they get no answer at my house, but my 60 number caller ID memeory never shows them calling there and there are no voice mails. They are the pits!

How could someone lie about their income on a mortgage app?  The mortgate compamy  is supposed to verify everything on that app.  just because someone is behind on their bills does not mean they are scum of the earth and need to be embarassed and harassed.  i would not be ab le to make my living hounding people like this.  you don't know the situation that person my be in.
