Hung up on machine.  Another ste says it's Capital One.  We are not customers.

Got a call today that automatically goes to voicemail, it shows a 2 second VM, but no message.  Rookaloo say Capital One, that is likely so, we do have a #%@%% account with them.

Received a call from someone named Ivan who gave this number with an extension of 4483239.  We do not have any Capital One accounts which he says he represents,  He was calling to speak with someone who doesn't live here.  I think he is a debt collector or a fraud and claimed he didn't know why my number came up in his database to call and track down the party he was looking for.  Plus, I am on the Do Not Call Registry so this person has figured out a way around it.

Got this call today on my answering machine. No message left but have had these people call before. They use a variety of numbers and it seems a variety of names, but it is National Action Financial Services. They have been asking for somebody to collect a debt from, that I do not know, for over 9 months. Have been called and ask to stop calling but they just change their number and keep doing it.
Caller ID sometimes say's Capitol One, which I have no dealing with either.

Got a call this morning from a woman looking for my wife's ex-husband.  She identified herself as "Star" and said it was a "personal business matter".  She asked me for the last 4 digits of my ssn.  I refused to give it to her or to tell her if I was the guy she was looking for.  She refused to give me any information about who she was or who she represented.  The stalemate resorted to raised voices on both ends until she hung up on me.

same here - looking for someone I have never heard of - actually left a message on the machine - but it was about some "options" Capital One has for her. ugh. They called 2 times in a row!

Got a call from this number and they stated they were Capital One looking for my brother in law regarding his account.

I called Capital One and they indicated this number did not belong to them.  This is a fraudulant number do not give them any information.

My cell phone rang, no one was on the line, then the call dropped.

they have been calling me several times a day since I got my phone installed in July from a few different numbers (all seem to be the same company/person/whatever according to what I have read on this site) asking for a variety of people none of which I know...the usually don't leave VMs they just hang up...if I accidentally answer the phone they will ask for who ever..I tell them they have a wrong number...they ask if I know this person I tell them no and hang up, I have started keeping a log of the calls I can...date,time,ect because someone told me in NY if you have asked them to stop calling and they keep calling after 6mo you can sue them for harassment I don't know if it is true or not but I think I might look into it further.

Unsolicited call from referenced number today at 3:09 p.m, CDT..  Female caller indicated it was from Capital One and asked for a person with a first name I do not know (Last name was correct and we have never been a Capital One customer.)  I told her that no one with that name lived here and that I did not know anyone with the name she asked for.  She said she would remove our number from their list.  Our caller ID listed the caller as "Unavailable".

This actually is a legitimate phone number. I was behind on my capital one credit card payments since being out of work and this number called me. The first time they asked for my birthdate which I refused to give.

Instead of calling them back , I always go through capitalone customer service and they confirmed that it is legitimate. its a 3rd party company they use to collect on past due accounts (NCO).

IF u don't actually have a capital one account or past due bills, then that means someone probably gave them a fake number which ended up being yours. I suggest calling capital one directly, prove to them that u have no such account and ask that they have their 3rd party cease the calls. I think sometimes the 3rd party companies randomly call telephone numbers that match the name of the person they are trying to locate in order to see if they get any bites since people are dodging them.

If you are a capital one customer, I suggest always going through the customer service number just to be on the safe side. I made sure to keep in touch with them and they were always cordial to me throughout my issues.

Unidentified caller asked for a name I couldn't even understand.  He then wanted to verify the number.  I responded that there was "no such person identified with this phone number, have a good day, goodbye."  I am not a Capital One customer and never have been, so this must have been a cold call using either a falsely provided number or a random choice by the 3rd party. I hope they do not persist in aggravating me.

I am so so sorry I am one of the people who have fallen behind on there account capital one is so mean.   They have a call center in ny.  Allied interstate I think.    They stink. I am so sorry that they are causeing every one so much drama.  They called everyone of my family members. I am so embarrassed.

Don't know who it was but all I could hear of the message said "Right smack across your face."

I am so fed up with these annoying calls. I get approx. 20 of them a day.  I let my answering machine answer and it says the name of my company. Don't they get the message when no one picks up? They are so stupid they just keep calling.  I am also investigating if I can get them for harassment. I can't even take a nap when I don't feel good as they keep on calling.. We can send men to the moon, but we can't stop these annoying callers. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

got a call from this number at 5:30 A.M.!!!!! No message.
