demanding a return call -- never heard of these scammers, owe them nothing nor will i return their calls, now too numerous to count. ID says shawn (sean) at interstate --urgent that i call them

Allied Interstate calling about a student loan, first of all called themselves tracking me down because the number they had was a work # I never give anyone.  Turns out they need to fire there investigator, they told me I am about to be sued and wages to be garnished for $69,000 student loan.  My student loan is on $1700 and they had the wrong ss# and birthdate for me.  They had tracked the wrong person.  Whta better way to give someone a heart attack other than telling them you owe $69,000, your property is due to have a lien placed on it and we are going to garnish your wages.

Someone from this number called my girlfriends parents house two nights in a row and said I gave them this number to reach me. I don't even know their number. Asked questions like, how do you know him, where does he live, whats his phone number, how about your daughters phone number and address. Her dad said they were very rude and wouldn't tell him why they were calling. I can't think of what it would be for. I probably owe them money, but no more than like $250 tops. I monitor my credit report, I know what I owe. Seems like a lot of hassle to collect that after the original business has already wrote it off.

It's illegal for them to call anybody but you about your debt.  You can sue THEM.  Make sure they know that.

I came home tonight to a message from this number by some woman (who sounded like quite the [***]), telling me that "this is a business call, not a telemarketing call, and I need to call her" at some extension!! I don't know this woman from a can of paint, and by the way a telemarketing call is by definition; a business call... How arrogant is this hag?? These people deserve to burn in hell, first of all; and second I have a policy; I do not return calls from people or entities that do not state the nature of their business in calling me in the first place.......

Amber, called harassing  and using illegal, unscrupulous tactics, on numerous occasions, should her call not be returned.

Received a message from the following number and she calls at least 3 to 4 times a week to my work phone #. The message is please return my call this is a business call and say you must call back by the end of the day or future action will be taken against you. the caller name is Mrs Hodges and her phone numbers are 614-9017988 and 1866-396-7765 ext 8537. The caller will not leave the company name or what it pertains to, if they want a call returned then they need to leave the company's name and what it about.

They have been calling me sometimes. I have excellent credit history to my name and owe no one no money. It's suspicious that they're even calling someone like me. I will not call back.

They called my cell phone and a man told me they were collecting an outstanding student loan for the US Dep't. of Education.  They wanted to verify my birthdate and social security number.  He had my name correct, but I told him I'd never had a student loan in my life and this was a cell phone number and asked how they got the number.  He just said "the information was placed in front of me to call."  I asked two more times and that was always the response.  I told him he had the wrong person and not to call back.

So if you owe money and a collection agency calls you and leaves a message you dont call them back because they dont tell why they are calling? THEY ARE NOT A LOUD TO. If they started calling all your numbers and just leaving messages that they were calling about a debt then they would be breaking the law and you would be b---hing that the are giving out your personal information over a machine..what if you walked in the door with company and hit play on your answering machine and Bob from a collection agency said I am calling you to collect a debt, that would be pretty embarassing...you have rights but for crying out loud GET A CLUE..I have done collections and I have been a deadbeat on the other end of the phone..So if you owe people money dont complain about the calls...pay your debts so you dont get calls!!!!

Someone who can't correctly spell "allowed" has the nerve to tell someone else to get a clue?  Classic.

Thats great I dont know how to spell...but I am right..You owe money all over town and have collectors calling you and your upset about all the calls and the nature of the messages? come on, pay your bills and you wont have anyone calling you..they call your references that YOU put on an application when YOU wanted the money..now that you dont pay it you get mad that they call them? seriously?

So Dino, why is allied interstate calling you? 10,15,20 grand in student loans? you finish school and get your self a nice job and then start hiding? Or were you stupid enough to rack up a bunch of student loan debt and not even finish College? WOW at least you can spell!!

sure it is! its illegal for them to call YOUR references that you listed on the application for your student loan...does that make sence? You borrow money, then go into hiding, and they cant call the people you put down as a ref? Stop making the collectors out to be the bad people..your the one that is hiding from your debts..

EVER think its a wrong number? they are trying to find someone who does owe money maybe if you tell them that they wont call you anymore ms. I am perfect, with perfect credit...

Getting calls from several different reps at this number.
The first guy was threatening in tone and content.
This last person who called today said she needed to talk to me because someone was using my SSN.
The number does belong to Allied Interstate collections.
I do have student loan debt that I am currently unable to pay.
I wonder why the US Dept of Ed would use this type of collector because if I did have the money to pay my loans, I would NEVER pay them through this collection agency.
Threats and intimidation will never get anyone money from me.

It is true that you get more bee's with honey than with vineger, everyone is a debter in one way or another, its true that some use questionable tactics to inquire on the information given to them to work, but to the kind hearted collectors such as myself, it makes work harder on me when the last person whom which the borrower (debter) talked to was rude and hateful. I am a helper, I can only do so much....To those who have loans in default, its a good idea to try to resolve them before they resolves you. IT's a situation that you once had control over, and YOU disregarded it. Want your taxes? Want -all- of your paycheck? They don't even start taking these things until a year into default?! Get any letters? Probally!! Warnings are put into place for that reason, TO WARN YOU!!! Stop living in fear and regret that maybe you didn't get the education you wanted or your parents wanted, but your kids??? If you want them to go to school ur loans must be resolved 1st. There are payment plans that can help you....I wish you all the best and hope that all you winers understand that we have a job to do to.....GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE!

Allied Interstated called at 8:45am one moring.  wich is against the fair debt and collection practices.  Anyway, daily these egg heads call several numbers looking for me.  But I say they are dirt bags and I"M avoiding them at all costs
