unfortunately i also was conned into that apx alarm crap, after moving we found out they wanted $99 dollars for our "1 free move" anyway, i told them no thanks and now they want me to pay the rest of my monthly charges for the next three years all at once..... (keep the alarm at $45 a month, or get rid of it, and pay all of the $45 per month charges today?! two great ideas) anyway, today i had a message from "gloria" from the collections folks, and dont think i will be calling back... glad this forum is here, ps has anyone found out how to call apx and their mormon thug empire off?

This is " please call 1-866-400-3550 I am on extension #... They try to intimidate you since the moment you take their calls, won't let you talk, treat you like an idiot, talking about "mechanic liens", and you have to pay them before they are forced to file a suit againts you for breach of contract with APX Alarm, the ones that installed worthless equipment, the ones that never told you that their useless equipment is not compatible with digital phone line... and now they send you his brother Anderson, Crenshaw & Associates, yelling at you as you were a criminal, telling you they have the power to damage your perfect credit record, these guys are a twin criminal business, ruin your credit because you are not willing to give away your hard earned money, working in integrity, not with license to ripoff peoples money like APX Alarm and Anderson, Crenshaw & Associates.

Had a run in with Crenshaw and Assoc. and what everyone is saying about them is TRUE.  They are a bunch of errogant A**HOLES.  Especially Tom Backel, what a character he is. I think he thought he was intimidating me by trying to be a bully....it did not work.  I am glad I got him all worked up. haha!!

These people are among some of the worst.  Of course, I'm sure they take that as a compliment.  If they call you again, take it....  play with them.  Put them on hold...  in other words, just tell them to hold on, then set the phone down and walk away and do whatever your little heart desires.  Maybe ask them what they think of the service APX supplies?  When they tell you they don't use APX, then tell them "see??? that's what I'm tlking about!!"  Then leave it at that. Another good one is to keep cutting them off when they talk.  You don't even have to talk about anything important...  maybe about how you hate how fast the weeds are growing today, or something completely unrelated.  This is always a lot of fun to throw them off.  They don't make sense, so why do you?  

I also was scammed by APX, in case you haven't already figured that out.  I won't pay for a service I do not get.  I was also told I could cancel at anytime with no penalty.  So when the service was not provided and the false alarms begin and the police department was knocking on the door, I cancelled.  They had no problem with that, then Anderson, Crenshaw and their biotches started calling.  Give me a break. Been fighting this for 2 years.   Good luck all.  Have some fun.

My husband and I had just gotten our first house, and the day we were moving in we were talked into an alarm from SAI alarm. Everything went fine with it, until my credit card expired. I called them numerous times with the new number, and even sent a certified return reciept letter with the new number on it. After 2 months of going through with this I get a letter from Anderson Crenshaw. I could not believe these jerks actually sent me to collections, I only had a couple more months on the contract and they are the ones who screwed up! Per Anderson Crenshaw I owed over $1100.00. I told them I would pay them $25.00 a month, and they said without $200.00 a month they would garnish my wages or put a lien on my house. I have been paying them $50.00 a month for over a year, and they will not send me a statement or anything showing the balance owed or payments made, how do I know when to make my last payments.

They have called me at 7:00 am, I have recorded messages from them that early, they use profanity and try to bully you into doing what they want you to do. I have complained to the FTC and BBB, however I don't see where it has stopped.

I took the house out of my name, and I have great credit without paying these people, part of me wants to tell them to screw off.

Any ideas on who I can talk to to have them reprimanded for there pore practices?

Called for previous owner of phone, asked if I could take a message, he said it was "personal business", asked me if I was his wife. If he head really known the "person" he was calling, he would know #1 that he died two years ago, and #2, he had no wife.  Thus, the "personal business" he can shove up his butt!!!!!!!

The strangest people! This number called my parents house looking for my husband. They would not reveal any information to my mother's call, so she called me. I then called, they would not talk to me. Told my husband, they talked to him telling him that he owed a load of money on an alarm system that is at house that we rent out. Thing is, the tenant that set that up did not pay his bill so now they're trying to get us to pay. Seeing how my husband's name is on the deed of the house and his FORMER address was of that house, they think he should pay. Ofcourse he refused and IMMEDIATELY called an attorney. This collection company has NO right to put the bill on the owner's of rental property. Also, the fact that they found MY mother's telephone number is horrible!
