It's Discover Card. After getting numerous calls from them, I called back and  asked to be placed on their do not call list.

after numerous calls we asked to be removed from their list. Sometimes they call 4 or 5 times a day. Now that we have asked to be removed they wont say anything when they call, they just sit there. I would like to sue them, that is harassment. If there are any interested lawyers out there lets file a class action lawsuit.

Someone trying to get me to sign up for a business credit card. I am not sure who called. They said but I didn't understand.

I get calls from this number at least 2 times everyday for the last month or so.  They are even getting to be more frequent.  I've gotten 4 in the last 2 hours alone!  I wish they'd stop calling.  My husband and I have both told them to stop calling, yet they continue to call.  Usually I just pick up and hang up, but that doesn't seem to help either.

I have a Discover card. First they harassed me when my payment was late one month...I thought I paid it. The balance was less than 1,000! I have now set them up for automatic payment and am paying it off so I can cancel the card. Now the balance is sufficiently low enough that they are calling 2 and 3 times a day but leaving no message. I was able to find out it was Discover through this wonderful site. What a dreadful card to have. $200 to go and it will be gone.

I have been getting 3-4 calls a day this past week.  When I answer, they just sit there, or hang up.  When I don't answer, they leave no message. I have a discover card with no balance that I have not used in years.  Maybe I will just cancel it altogether, due to this harassment.

They called yesterday once, and today twice, but I never answered..

I answered this call and the woman acted like she was a friend of my husband's and said she'd try later. We have two Discover cards we haven't activated yet (after 10 months) and I don't know if this is why they called, or if it's a sales pitch for something but I'm glad I didn't answer. (I only know this is where the call originated from searching this site - bookmarked in favorites!)

these people call several times a day. Do they realize they block phone lines and encourage people to not want to go through their card company?

I haven't amswered the call but once, nobody said a damn thing. I see some say its Discover card. I have one, and I still get mail TO UPGRADE TO a new one. I do use mine all the time , alot, they want you to upgrade or get a business card. You don't have to do anything. If you have a card and are saying to cancel it, this won't stop the calls,. Simply don't use your card, because if you cancel it altogether, this WILL LOOK BAD ON YOUR CREDIT REPORT.

Got a call from them and they tried to pitch me a Discover card Business card.  Told them I do not run a business and that I have a Discover card already. They tried to ask more questions and I hung up. Called on 8/1/08 at 9:37 AM.

Called again on 8/5/08 at 1:23 PM.  Did not answer.

Have been calling me 2-3 times a day this week - haven't answered and now I know not to!!

I've received 14 calls since August 1. I've never answered them because I have caller ID and found out it was Discover Card. I have a Discover Card with about 100 bucks on it. I will pay it off and never use it again. Sooner or later they will get the hint. I honestly have never had a company like this one harass me. Have had my American Express Card for over 30 years. They are great.

Every day 4/5 times they call us. We do not want these calls.

I got serveral calls from them. they never leave a message.... I thought it was weird... called back and it says that its discover card... still believe that it should be a scam~ so i don't answer most of its calls. Last time my hubby picked up the phone.. they start wanting his infomation for something. i told him not to say anything cuz it's probably scam... they kept calling. I answered it today and refused the offers... According to all other comments.. i guess they will keep calling.. but it's true that I HATE THEY CALL IN THE MORNING.. WHAT DA DECK IS WRONG WITH THEM?? i am gonna ask my phone company to block this number!!!

866-402-1044 - I was getting multiple calls from this number and several others multiple times a day, most of which originated with Discover, which I found out about through websites such as this.  I have a Discover card, so I emailed them, and asked them to take me off all of their call lists or I would cancel my account.  Just use the customer service part of their website to send the message.  That was over a week ago, and I haven't had a call since.  So if you've got a card, do that, and hopefully the calls will stop.
