- Fraser ValleyGot a harassing call with a guy stating stuff like "I know you, but you don't know me", called me by my name, and stated other creepy things that were control issue statements and head-games. Never got a name *69 gave me the #866-402-2889. I reported it to the RCMP.
- Employee of White-Rock Trendwest CC| 1 replyI work at a Trendwest call-center (the white rock one, using the number 866-402-2889). Yes, it's a lame annoying redundant solicitation call, but no it's not a scam. Basically if you meet certain qualifications, you can go attend a "presentation on vacation concepts" or more honestly put: A sales pitch (promoting time-shares). Requirements in Canada are that you are age 21+, own property, and make $60k/year. Americans must be age 21+, and make $40k/year. If you meet those requirements you are able to schedule a tour at a show room, where you'll be informed about and pressured into buying time shares. The presentation lasts 90 minutes, after which you receive your vacation package. The annoying things that most representatives make an effort not to inform you of are: -You gotta book your trip 90 days in advance -Trips depart only on MONDAY/TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY, and return WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY/FRIDAY (meaning NO WEEKENDS POSSIBLE) -and worst of all: NO HOLIDAYS. The unfortunate part is that many people don't learn the conditions that apply to the trip until after they've wasted their time at the presentation, and can't benefit from the trip because all the off-time from work they get is a black-out for scheduling the trip.

- CatherineNice to know I am not the only one getting these calls. So it is Trendwest? Guess that is better than a bill collector! =)
- R.Same as the guy above, except I could not understand if Frank had exciting news or awful news, but he wanted me to call him. Either way this site saved me the time and I did not call it back. Thanks
- They are law breakers replies to Employee of White-Rock Trendwest CCMost time shares are some kind of scam. However, this "fine" company is in violation of the Do Not Call rule because they call my number and it's registered. They will be reported. They have called my number several time and I will report each call and there is a big fine associated with breaking this law.
- Cell phones are not protected replies to JenniferYou need to register your number with the do not call registry. At least in the US.
- JetI did not answer. This number is unfamiliar to me. I am on the "Do not call" list. WHY do these calls still come through?
Sick 'em Feds! - JDREceiving multiple calls on my cell in Vancouver BC from 949-540-0781. Never pick up...found it's a scam involving Internet calls direceted from overseas.

If your number has been on the National Do Not Call Registry for at least 31 days and you receive a call from a telemarketer that you believe is covered by the National Do Not Call Registry, you can file a complaint at the registry’s website at www.donotcall.gov or by calling the registry’s toll-free number at 1-888-382-1222 (for TTY, call 1-866-290-4236). To file a complaint, you must know either the name or telephone number of the company that called you, and the date the company called you. - HI received a call on my CELL PHONE from this number. According to one Do Not Call website, cell phone numbers are not suppose to be available to solicitors. Guess they are wrong. That was my second sales call in one week on my cell. Nobody but friends and family have my cell phone number, so how'd they get it?
